old Birmingham Photos

I have some old photo's of Sutton Cold Field in my photo box of Mom's. I will see if I can find them later in their and if I do I will post them up
 
Some brilliant photos on this Flickr page. a collection of new photos with an image of the old buildings that used to be there. Great idea, and sad to see so many of Birminghams old buildings replaced.

I first visited Birmingham in 1964 and find some of these pictures achingly evocative. My Mum and Dad had moved to the Midlands in the mid to late 1950s (I was brought up during those years by my Grandmother in Belfast) and seeing these old studies of what is now a much-changed city has reminded me very vividly of those times. They stayed until 1990 when they both returned to Belfast so, for over 30 years, Birmingham was a large part of my life.
