Official Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Disappointed we didn't put in a bid for Paul Mullin who's gone on loan to the Pie Eaters! Still only 30 and a proven goal scorer (remember that cracker against us?). Him and Ennis upfront would have made a cracking combo.

He's not proven in league one. 6 goals in 46 appearances across his career.

We also scored more goals than the Wrexham team that he couldn't get into last season.

Why are folks (not just you specifically Bob!) dismissing Fletcher so readily - he was voted player of the season last year!

Turned it round spectacularly in did Fletcher. No coincidence it was around the time Ennis landed too.
We need cover for positions.
Rovverham rumoured to be looking to get shut of Clarke Harris. Even at 30 I'd take him here.

Gabriel Schluter is on his way from us to....

Liverpool.

6 figure fee.

He came on for us v their U21s in the LDV last season.

Good Luck to the lad. Hope we insert a sell.on clause.

Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Blackpool’s teenage sensation Gabriel Schluter, liverpool have agreed a six-figure fee with Blackpool for Schluter and he is set for a medical on Merseyside next week.
The midfielder has caught the eye of of a number of clubs higher up the football pyramid with his displays for Blackpool’s academy sides.
Schluter, 16, made his first-team debut
last November when he came off the bench in the EFL Trophy tie – ironically, against Liverpool’s Under-21 side at Bloomfield Road.

Schluter set for Liverpool medical

Tangerines boss steve-bruce admitted he “wouldn’t be surprised” to see the teenager leave for a Premier League club back in December 2024, following his first-team debut.

Good luck to the lad. I hope he's a local lad and does well. Be good to think there are more coming through but I know better

SB on the five new signings, from the Gazette:

“They’re all first-choices, and we’ve had to work hard to beat off a few teams because the competition has been huge.
“We’ve had a busy summer so far, but we’ve still got a long way to go - with four or five to look at.
“All credit to the owner too, his ambitions have always been to take the club up and around the Championship. He’s given us a healthy budget to achieve it, so we’ve got to put that into practice. It’s difficult because there’s a lot of good teams, but I’m delighted with what we’ve done so far.
“It’s a smashing club, with a healthy environment to be around. What we’ve got to do now is put a squad of players together quickly to get them up and running to get ready for what’s going to be a big season.
“We’ve the four lads and the goalkeeper, and there’s still one or two that we’re persevering with, so we’ll see what happens in the next week or so.”

SB on our goalkeeping - from the Gazette:

I still think we need another goalkeeper, that’s for sure.
“We’ve decided this year that instead of having a number one, we’re going to have two goalkeepers who will slog it out - a bit like the rest of the team. Hopefully that will bring the best out of people.”

People suggesting figures far more than what he's worth imo.
At best we'd get the Stewart sort of ££ with an % sell on.
Bloxhams the weekly shoe-in if he dies go.
Anything near £2m I'd snap their hand off

Emil Hansson
He arrived from Dutch outfit Heracles Almelo for a reported £1.5 million but is now no longer part of the Birmingham manager’s plans.

Hansson failed to make an impact in League One, scoring just once in 20 appearances.

With the Swede’s exit seemingly imminent, Football League World have highlighted three clubs that should be fighting for his services.
