Official club statement

I know it might not be for everyone and you might think i'm overreacting but i was looking at getting some personal protection whilst out and about , was going to get a telescopic baton but they're illegal so decided on getting a tactical torch which is perfectly legal in the UK as long as it's "primary purpose is for illumination" . Of course i'm not suggesting using it to temporarily disorientate a would be assailant by shining it in their eyes before jabbing them in the face or neck with it , purely for illumination purposes only .
Bought one off Amazon for £35 .
Had one in the car over a decade, also several oriental antique weapons in whatever respective dwelling I frequent.

I’ll happily pay the fine if ever the need arises, but if it it’s anything worse than a fine it means mine or family members life’s were in danger and someone FAAFO.

The world we live in today is not the world we grew up in.

Common sense should tell everyone it won’t get any better, only worse

Edit. I wouldn’t walk around with anything like above

I have training swords and staffs at home. Solid plastic with decent heft. I also have a baseball bat and a couple of real swords and air pistols.

I have a tactical torch in my car as well as a toolbox with various tools that can be used quite happily.

I have several sets of crutches strategically placed around the house and a steering wheel lock in the car.

Failing that I'll set the missus on the them.

I do have a wolf tooth torch at home and a Viking battle axe but they're a bit big to stick in my pocket when out and about .

Friend of mine is a part time hurling coach in Birmingham so can legally carry a hurling stick under front seat of his van as its for "sporting purposes"
