Official and Unofficial January 2023 Transfer Window

It was an injury crisis before the World Cup. I don't know what you'd call it now, but we got nobody back over the WC break and have lost Awoniyi, Kouyate, Lingard (twice), MGW, Hendo and Yates since. Unbelievable.

I believe thats why it's deepening chap.

Just looked at 8 mins of his clips. Looks a bit slow/sluggish, but clearly technical and has more composure and awareness than Dennis. On a 6 month deal I think this is great business until Awoniyi and MGW are back.

I think it's MGW's replacement
I think he covers both to be honest. Cooper will trust him over Dennis, albeit Dennis has more pace, but doesn't have the awareness, composure or vision to make the best of his abilities.

Hope he knuckles down and applies himself as he has talent. I think his leap is bigger than Ronaldo's..!! Absolutely outstanding the air he gets, just hope he can use it in the box

How, or when will be able to access the 25 man squad list? I hope he's kept L'OB in here, and omitted Richards by telling him to get in incredible shape for pre-season

MGW will play on sunday

I can read cooper like a book

when I look at him I see a man who likes a Chinese after a weekend away. A glass of red on a Sunday afternoon and lies about injuries

I think this might be shrewd business. He’s a nuisance of a player, the manager knows him well and has got the best out of every player he knows. I think whilst we have an abundance of talent, with MGW out, we lack a bit of agility and directness. Low risk until the end of the season - what’s the problem?

And damages morale at Everton even more

To stay up this season I think we are almost certainly going to have to inflict an historic relegation on Everton. This is a shrewd move towards that

Osong is irrelevant due to age, but thought he could have shown more last night.

Osong is only young, but seems a strange player. Only seen him play a couple of times, but in the youth cup game before the final against Man Utd he looked slow, lumbering and disinterested till the 85th minute. Then he suddenly showed pace , skill and scored two goals in the last five minutes to take us through.

I guess footballers have different levels of stamina, as well as their football skill. Some are fast like Usain Bolt, some can run around all day like Mo Farah. The first type may look lazy if they don't have the ability to run round all day.

As bizarre as it is to sign nearly 30 players, I feel slightly better for the Ayew signing. If he is going to deputise for MGW during injuries, with Lingard also getting injuries, it makes sense.

I think Ayew can play the hold up role fairly well, and we have Wood as well.

Darren Fletcher on R5 the other day was saying that Cooper is a lot happier with this window than the last one under the last head of recruitment, suggesting as we thought that there was friction there.
