Hi Walt, the technical solution for rasing the floor level over the insulation is to put battens on the joists and add the flooring on top of them...not hi-tech but it works...
That’s the simplest way Harry , as long as you have enough headroom when it’s finished . We moved to where we are now seven years ago . I applied for the insulation to be upgraded as soon as we moved in . The surveyor turned up and said we had enough in the loft , which we did to be to fair , and then said it wasn’t worth doing the cavity wall insulation because we had too many windows and not enough wall ! I asked if they upgraded the windows and he said no ! Cheapskate !

Oh Walt what a let down lol!, HSB, something else that stuff, I love it, though as you say not a lot of it at any one time, the two H's are correct but there is a third High Speed Bitter.
I’ve not been near it since, its been nowhere near my lips , Pompey ........ nor will it ever be .... . You must know the Bold Forester . It’s in your neck of the woods . I only know it from the outside going in . What it’s like from the inside going out , I haven’t a clue !!!!!!! . ‘ kin evil stuff !

Golf again today...the Big Bucks competition...time to unleash another new swing...they say the harder you practice the better you get so that probably explains why I’m going nowhere fast...
But, time for a beverage and social interaction afterwards just to remind everyone we are still alive....just...stay strong, stay safe..
They also say the higher a golfers handicap, the more likely they are to offer advice on another golfers swing.

Have a great game today.

Good morning all . Another day in parade beckons . Seems to be a nether world at the moment . Do we still have Covid or do we don’t . We are protecting ourselves more now than when it was rife . When everyone and their dog seemed to be going down with it , we could gaily wander about and buy a pint of milk and a paper with not a care ! Couldn’t get a pint of beer though . Now we can get a pint of beer, with no facial trappings , we can’t buy a paper without looking like the Lone Ranger . You can buy clothes but not try them on ! Which forces you into yet another unnecessary journey , because the clothes don’t fit or you look a dick in them , when unnecessary journeys were banned before .
People were paraded on the front page of newspapers for taking a dog for a walk on the moors , now they can fly to to Spain , as long as they don’t come back !
it’s all a bit weird . The people sort of opposite us went to their sons during the actual lockdown, during the blitz , , both are elderly, ie older than me , then when they returned after eight weeks , they had a building company in , doing work in their house for two weeks ! Not a mask in sight as they walked to their vans and back into the house , not that we were looking , trying to find out what they were having done . New bathroom it was , lovely grey tiles !
totally weird ennit .
hope you are all well, safe , strong and clever .
Hope your game went well Harry . Gotta go , ..... patios don’t clean themselves , ..... mother in law and sister in law coming today , for lunch !
don’t get complacent

Well having promised not to mention golf; I played in a pairs match yesterday with new partner no.2, we were 3 down with 3 to play. One of the other players pissed me off and so I hit what was probably one of the best drives I've hit in a long time - 335 yards to the green, protected by water one side and a huge bunker on the left - I made the green, and then holed a 25 ft putt.

I went on to win the next two holes to square the match.

Lifted my spirits no end and now feel positively refreshed.

Sadly, I see that up at Stone, 10 found positive and literally hundreds being tested - a friend lives there and he tells me that the issue was the pubs being jammed to the rafters with almost no social distance measures being observed.

Afraid I can't see how we avoid a second wave, so be careful, be aware and be safe.

Hahaha, some can take it some cannot, the Bold Forester, was a great pub, I say was great, because I haven't been in it for many years, to be honest am not sure if it is still there. Thing is with HSB, it isn't fighting booze as some Lagers for example are, with HSB, drink to much and down you go until the morning as you have experienced.

I love the new catchphrase EX “Having promised not to mention golf again”...it’s straight out of ‘Allo ‘Allo...” Losten carefully, I shall say this only once”...anyway congrats on that drive...phenomenal...my game was slightly more restrained with the new swing kicking in from time to time...made a modest 30 points but no cigar this week...

Unfortunately, no socialising this week as the contractors had turned up to finally remove a power line that has been running across our course for years and activating the new underground circuits, so the clubhouse had no electricity so no beer...had to compensate with some wine with lunch and when I put it back in the fridge the storage holder in the door fell off and 3 pints of milk spread over the kitchen floor....a woman’ s work is never done it seems...

Upwards and onwards...I’m masking my depression...

Hope you did not cry over it ! Lucky you didn’t put the wine in the milk rack . I don’t get the bit about putting wine BACK in the fridge! That never happens in our house .

Afraid I couldn't stop myself Hari; it was one of those perfect drives you can only do in summer...!

I'm with Walthy; never heard of this strange ritual of putting wine back in the fridge - is that a Northern thing? You're a strange bunch up there lol!

And yet he had such a decent apprenticeship, Walthamstow , Southend ........ the mind boggles . My wife always pisses herself laughing when a recipe calls for the use of leftover wine !!!!!!!!!

Good morning all , lovely day and plenty of sunshine to come .
Apparently it’s National Orgasm Day today ! ........ I will let you know tomorrow !
lots of local lockdowns going on , very worrying , but we all said we were easing restrictions too soon . I still haven’t been to the pub , it’s very tempting, especially as I go past the place on my way to my allotment. It’s also only a three minute walk from home .I said I would not go unless I had a vaccine jab , same with the barbers . I intend to stick with that . I feel ok with going in shops because I’m in some sort of control of what is going on. The masks are a problem because they keep needing adjusting and we keep , I say we , it’s only me going into them , buying different styles in the hope that they are suitable ,and don’t need the constant hand to face Movement . Sort of negates the safety aspect really .
I am definitely not watching the cup final tomorrow, every time the goons get to the final , it ruins a great day ! And the goons v the chavs !!! Come on ! Really ! Who on earth thought that was a great way to end the domestic season . Ridiculous!
anyway got to , orgasms don’t sort themselves out you know ....... hang on , I could be wrong there !!
stay safe , strong , and don’t let the side down .
have a lovely orgasm day, however it transpires !

You've given me a good ol' chuckle about the orgasm day.

I'm totally in agreement with you on the going out. I've not had a hair cut and we only go out to shops if its vital. I have had to go to the vets a fair few times in the last few weeks though. We got a new puppy and he's been pretty poorly, poor little guy. Luckily all at the vets are being excellent with safety.

I hope everyone is having a great day!

There’s only me I’m afraid and a bottle a day is just a little OTT for me...I normally don’t have to bother, drinking mainly Red wine, but this was white...apologise for not being up to scratch guys....

We'll forgive you this time, but next time we'll have to put a censure vote to The Institution of Tabulators (TITs for short) for reckless behaviour.

Good morning all , it’s do nothing Saturday again , haven’t got a clue what I will be doing this afternoon but it won’t involve the tele at 4-30. How can they ruin the cup final like that !
hope there is a repeat of four in a bed or something riveting like that . I loved the one when they found a pubic hair behind the radiator by getting down on their hands and knees . That really showed the owners up! They must have had nightmares for weeks . And when they find dust under the bed , well , who would have thought . Their bookings must plummet after the show is seen on tv .
National Orgasm Day didn’t materialise yesterday , at least not in this neck of the woods . Shame , would have been nice , but never mind ! will have to wait until next year now I suppose . I’m going to mark it on the calendar so we can get prepared for it in advance . We only found out about orgasm day on the day , so it was all a bit of a rush having to try and reorganise everything !
weather is a bit iffy , lots of cloud about and a bit of sun poking through .
bacon and eggs for breakfast , luvverly jubberly . You can’t whack it.
I was kind of hoping it would get whacked yesterday but as I said ..... too much to reorganise.
Got to go , got to set a series link for four in a bed , these thing don’t set themselves you know !
stay safe , have a lovely weekend , this thing needs avoiding not embracing !
