If they can play nicely than absolutely stay, he has been brilliant for us but he's not bigger than the club and I'm not super keen on how he is conducting himself at the moment. Eventually this will impact the team and can't have that.

So stay with caveats 😋
 
Stay, obviously, but I don’t think he’s irreplaceable, nor essential to our continued success. If you told me Nuno was leaving today, and Glasner would replace him tomorrow, I’d be more than happy. The threat of a risky appointment, though, is obviously high.

Every appointment is risky.
You never know how the squad will get on with a manager.
 
You spend three hours on the M Fucking 6 and come back to this; I am stunned

I think someone needs to start a thread and poll about who will be replacing Nuno; If the rumours going round are in any way correct, he will be shown the door pretty soon.

It's been a re-run of January.

He has been offered player after player and turned them down, so they got on with things without his input.

Last week's interview was not about how many players we have signed or when we signed them, it was because Nuno had no say in who came in.

One poster claims the Elanga sale set him off.

Another rumour is he offered to resign and was told there would be no pay off; if that is correct, he is a dead man walking.

These are rumours and I have not got a clue if or how accurate they are, and it would be great if they are total bull, but there has been plenty posted by a very reliable source about infighting behind the scenes and two different target lists of players.

I assumed that to be two different factions in the recruitment team; what if it was Nuno fighting with the recruitment team?

Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
 
I'm surprised Nuno went public especially after all the recent transfer activity. Loads of clubs have struggled to get quality signings in this summer so I tend to side with the Boss on this one.

Owd Widdow has been on the ball again, when he passed comment about the shenanigans behind the scenes.

There not much gets past him
 
While I would love him to stay, given his comments and the fact that I can’t see any easy resolution I think he needs to go.

Adults who care about their job, and their reputation, go for the hard resolution when there isn't an easy resolution.

EM and Nuno seem to be taking the childish route, the pair of them.

Hopefully that's wrong and someone can bang their heads together and get it sorted.

I only say this because I would hope they both care about the amazing work they have been doing together.
 
I admit that when he was first appointed I was far from impressed. He's won me over since then though and I think it would be madness to sack him now and all the chaos that would create with the coaching staff would be disastrous at this stage of the season. If he wants out then there's not much to be done about it I'm afraid. I'm hoping he stays and continues to keep improving the team and moving us forward.
This whole situation reeks of a Fawaz Billy Davies shit show. I really thought we'd moved on!!

Where does widdow post nowadays?

Me and him are very good friends going back many many years

Funnily enough was chatting to him about life in general via whatsapp this morning just before all this kicked off with Nuno

Just went looking for his posts on ltlf but couldnt see anything ?

Im out of touch with other forest forums? Is he on there or somewhere else?
