It was. The timing of Keegan coming in as a player and the lift it gave the area can never be underestimated or forgotten. It was like a switch turned on from despair or boredom to excitement and dream making.
Then we lost Beardsley and Waddle
and ended up with Cunningham and Reilly. We've nearly made it a few times but fucked up when it really mattered. At least we know under Ashley we aren't even trying to compete just fulfilling our fixtures and hoping we can finish at least 4th bottom.
