Notts v Stevenage

I didn't go to either of the 2 away games so far but Tuesday sounded like an improvement on the opening day performance. Even though we lost both games I am still really looking forward to Saturday. I think JS will revert to 3-5-2 and bring Stanley back while a fit O'Connor will probably see Tootle taking on a more defensive role. Goals have been hard to come by so far but I think we will break our duck on Saturday with a well comfortable 2-0 win.

Oh yeah, we don't do comfortable do we :hihi:

The second half was a really hard watch and that's putting it mildly. We had a good 30 minute spell leading upto half time but I came away worrying that it could be a long hard season. It was my first chance to view the new players and while I'm not going to make any judgments based on one match O'Connor looked a really neat and tidy player. Duffy brought some much needed strength to the defence but it was going forward which caused me more concern. We don't seem to have enough pace out wide and although Stead played well up top, both Forte and Oliver offered very little.

JS was clearly far from happy so it will be interesting to see what Tuesday night brings.

Hopefully Laing will bolster the defence but if can't attack at home, we are in for a long season.
