Notts County (h): What 3 Things Did We Learn?

1 ) with the right team - mobile, strong centre forward, 2 fast players prepared to go wide and midfield able to get forward in support but without over-exposing the back 4-3-3 can be a potent brew.
2) the Cowley revolution evolves at revolutionary pace, a significant change playing style and the players to deliver it arriving in the summer to bring out the potential of those already here and bringing out the best in January's recruits.
3) Andrade has skill, confidence and an ability to learn quickly. Potent.

1. We still seem vulnerable at free kicks and set pieces.
2. We play much better by working the channels, Andrade looks quality and can be a decent League 1 player.
3. Akinde is developing and getting a better understanding with the other players indeed the whole team are starting to gel together.

1) The quality in depth of the squad and the rotational policy that has been applied (and questioned in the press) has resulted in so many options for the team, that fans and opposition can't predict who will play or even in what formation.

2) Project "get Akinde on method" will take time but signs are starting to show where he is reading what his team mates are doing and likewise the team are learning to play to his strengths rather than just lumping the ball forward.

3) Team Lincoln City is not the finished article yet, players are still gelling, systems and patterns of play are still being worked on. Established players will make mistakes which wouldn't have happened last season, because of the personnel changes around them. When you change your keeper, center back (Captain), Center Mid (managers favourite) and rotate your two main forwards with new players you effectively change the spine of the team which will take time for everyone to adjust to. We are taking points off some good sides while adjusting so when we come good we should be awesome!

1) We are a step up from last season.

2) We are much more dangerous with two wingers, you can never have enough of them.

3) Akinde is getting fitter, thrives on confidence, could be one heck of a player for us. Reminds me a bit of the 75/76 home games when you go along and expected to win every time, hope I am proved right !
