Notts County (again)

Not that I am obsessed with the goings on at Meadow Lane or anything.

Work that one out!

"I'm beginning to think that Mr Trew maybe wasn't the best bloke in the world to be chairman and owner of a football club..."
As Notts County have seen the light, are there still any Trewites amongst us Imps?

Here's a quiz question. If Notts County get relegated from the football league this season. Who will then have the claim of being the oldest Football League Club?

NC were in court on Monday to face a HMRC winding up order, but were given a stay of execution. Now they have the administrators of a liquidated company knock on thier door.

Correct

Seems as though the ladies team are well in on the act as well!

Bet they wish they had stayed Lincoln City Ladies!

They have a lot of merchandise claiming they're the oldest Football League club. They'll have to throw it all out. Not sure if they have a blue plaque, but that will need taking down. It will be a real kick in the guts to the club and fans. Is it appropriate to laugh or should we feel sorry for them. It's a tricky one.

I genuinely feel for them. Most County fans are decent people who support the club (I know one and she is gutted about all the things that have happened over the last few years). I don't like to see any club go out of business because I know how devastated we would all feel and di feel when our club was on the verge of oblivion a few years ago!

There was a lot of gloating from Cash County a few years ago; I haven't forgotten that. But on balance they are a fine old club with a great tradition so I do not wish their situation on them.

An interesting post!

"OK....I tried to unravel a tiny spoonful of the "spaghetti" but basically haven't done this in a while.....so I'm getting frustrated

There are 3 Pinnacle Companies that I found pretty easily (there may be more but I need a beer)

Pinnacle Advantage Ltd.......stacks of PDF files to download here https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/c...09998/officers

Pinnacle Sure Ltd https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/c...filing-history

Pinnacle Pay Care Ltd https://companiesuk.co/management-co...filing-history

There also appears to be debts owing to HMRC through Pinnacle Advantage Ltd (the reason I mentioned this is because I was trying to see where the £700k winding-up order is coming from....HMRC is £208,943.76, but I cannot find the other £500k?)

CRS Ltd is listed as an asset of Pinnacle Sure Ltd and is a recruitment company valued at £770k

There is also Accomplished Accountancy and Taxation....... plus Romanoff Investments Ltd which show up on various of the Pinnacle pdf files.

CRS looks a viable business at £770k....Romanoff looks to be taking a hit from £1.3 million to £497k....Ray still wanted £559k from Pinnacle Advantage back in 2016 (I'm assuming it was a personal loan?)....Accomplished Accountancy looks like it will get wiped out, £466k to zero and Ray resigned in 2014.....there is also a link to Cyprus amongst the directors just for the conspiracy theorists. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/c...88968/officers

Basically AH is correct, it's tough to figure it all out....there are charges and cross-charges....typical accountancy movements but in my humble opinion, nothing illegal."

Just having a look at their current squad. Full of big name players, mainly ageing. No doubt on top money and no longer have the desire.
I noticed they've got ex Lincoln City apprentice and England under 21 keeper Scott Loach on the bench. 14 under 21 caps and twice been called up to the senior England squad. This guys still only 28. They can afford someone of his calibre and have only played him in 3 league games all season. I'm no Danny Cowley, but without looking too closely would say they are doing it all wrong.

He probably won't care as long as the big fat pay check arrives in his bank account every month!

County fans were waving fake money around under Munto while Sven was in charge, and then absolutely worshipping Trew for rescuing them when it emerged that it was all a con. Remember the cringeworthy sucking up to him as he posted on their message board? And genuine jealousy from some Lincoln fans? Hindsight's a wonderful thing, I suppose!
