Just a warning for anyone travelling to Lincoln via the A46 and the Newark area on Saturday. There is likely to be chaos on and around the Newark bypass, and particularly at the A1/A46 junction. The showground is off the A46, on the Lincoln side of Newark.

Avoid the whole area, or at least check your Sat Nav.

Exeter fans take note.

Might be best to go north on the A1 to Markham Moor, then A57, or south on the A1 to Coddington, then A17, A607...

Yes, I guess my options into Lincoln are A15 or A57 or hit the A1 into Newark and take a punt onto getting on the A46 past the bypass...

Don't know if it's still the case but last Saturday the A17 was closed at Brant Broughton towards Newark.

Yup, up the high dike. I use this regularly.

Yes, that's my regular route when the A46 is busy. Frequently Sat Nav says it is quicker than going on to Newark.
