Nottingham Forest Vs Liverpool Sponsored by Butlins Skegness

I would be surprised if he gets another PL job now, and think his only way back into this league will be to get a Championship club promoted.

Tbf I can see him going into a club like Sheff Utd and doing reasonably well.
Getting rid of Gene Wilder for Dyche would have the natives frothing at the mouth

I agree his confidence is shot. It does look, however that Vito is helping with his arm around him and giving him minutes. I would defo start him on Thursday. We could do with a backup to CHO this season as we go deeper into Europe, as it was obvious CHO was blowing out his arse after 60 minutes on Sunday.
It’s a difficult one to call for Thursday. I would be tempted to field the full strength side to get an early goal then start taking off players ready for the weekend.

On the flip side though we could start Ndoye, McAtee, Bakwa and (shudder) Lucca. Fenerbahce’s confidence is hopefully shot from the first leg but I am not sure how far I would trust a weakened side…

Possibly but there will always be sides struggling in the Prem so I would be surprised if he wasn’t offered something next season.

I can’t see Ange ever managing in the Prem again but Pereira is a different matter and I think a lot will depend on how he does with us(or at least the perception of how he does).

There's definitely a shout for that, and it's something I always advocate. It's what we should have done v Braga and Wrexham.

Maybe go with Ndoye up top again?
For the Premier League, assuming T is now out and with Wood still limping the the only backup we have to Jesus is Lucca, who I'm desperately wanting to be good, but the two times I've seen him it's not looking likely.
He maybe useful as a bit of a target going into the last 10 needing some chaos in the box, but I'm struggling to see much output.

Dangerous game to play, full side and get it done , go 1-0 then as you say take players off

He offers very little in chaos/putting himself about the defenders

This was my main beef with the Dyche appointment.
We had only played 8 games (fewer than when Villa appointed Emery after Gerrard (11) having only won 2 games). We were not 'struggling' we had a crap start. Too early to play the Dyche card for us.

I would stick Lucca up front and tell him to stay right up top and between the with of the 18 yard box. He has no pace and doesn’t seem to want to run so play him as a target with his back to goal and/or for swinging balls onto the box. A lot depends on how knackered Jesus is as he would worry their defence after the first leg.

Ndoye has shown bits going forward so I would be fine with him on the wing but not upfront I don’t think. It isn’t his position and he isn’t good enough even compared to Lucca.

I get that and agree with it to an extent. Mancini was a massive no for me but I think Marinakis hamstrung himself to a degree as he seems hung up on appointing Silva in the summer. Dyche was originally only offered a deal to the summer but turned it down.

There weren’t many ‘realistic’ alternatives being mentioned and Dyche’s history with the club and how he spoke about us pretty much sealed it. That might have been different if the media had found an alternative that fans could get behind but it just didn’t happen.

Also remembering that their star center-back, Skriniar, went off injured and is having scans so won't be available. Along with Oosterwolde and Fred who picked up yellow cards and will miss Thursday through suspension.

Assuming Silva was in agreement, EM should have gone and got him, paid Fulham and we'd be knocking on the European spots singing the praises of Kalimuendo having 10 goals.

They will likely have Soyuncu at CB, so we should start Lucca and tell him if he can't score against that bag of shit then there's no hope for him.

There is definitely a good opportunity for us to rest some players and get some minutes into the legs of others but given some of our performances this season I will always be a bit wary.
