Nottingham Forest Vs Liverpool Sponsored by Butlins Skegness

Vital 1st Team Regular
Currently watching my boys on the Waltzers at Butlins Skegness, which is inexplicably crawling with scousers.

Should be fun in the bar watching the game, provided the 4th new dawn of the season brings a good performance and at least a point or three.

Results yesterday could have been better, but then they could have been worse. It's a chance to try and capitalise today, albeit in a difficult fixture. We're in Slots head though, I believe we're the only team in the PL that Slot hasn't won a game against. Let's keep that record today.

You reds!

Given our current situation isn’t exactly ideal to play and deal with two tough games in the space of a few days, especially against a fresh Liverpool side that has improved since our last meeting. Not sure we stand any chance of coping with their ability and freshness, so I could accept even a defeat as long as we're competitive.

Don’t know how to read this one.

I feel buoyed by the other night and early signs of positivity / freedom among the players. Liverpool also don’t seem to enjoy playing at the CG and have blown hot and cold all season.

Some amazing players there though, obviously, and we’re all aware of VP’s record against ‘bigger’ premier league sides.

My gut is telling me we’ll get something and surprise them - but that’s based more on hope that anything else.

I have a feeling that WH not winning yesterday could give our boys a bit of confidence knowing that even a draw would be a good result.
No need to go gung ho. I would take a point today.

Felt confident today and then I see Liverpools starting 11 and I’m reminded of how bloody difficult it’s going to be.

Liverpool are very hot and cold and can look ordinary if you get at them
Yep. They are pretty much equally capable of beating us comfortably or losing badly.

No Awoniyi on the bench for us which is curious. Injured or doesn’t rate him…?

Like on Thursday going into the game I expect nothing more than defeat today. However, I was happy to be proven wrong and in such convincing fashion. Here's hoping for more of the same.

I refuse to believe Awoniyi is less effective than Lucca. Early days of course but he looks very poor

He took his goal at Leeds well but I haven’t seen anything since. Like you I think Awoniyi is the better bet especially on the back of his goal.

There is also Thursday to think about so Awoniyi as backup leaving Lucca fresh for Europe makes more sense to me.
