So they interviewed 47 people and came to this conclusion? How many people claiming dole ATM, 3 million? Needless to say this study cannot be taken seriously.

I don't blame you Clive. The system should look at someone on benefits that chooses to contribute more positively than it does. No way should you be penalised for it. If the govt is paying you let's say £1000 a month in rent, benefits etc, and you get a job on £750 a month, not only should they make the wages up to the £1000, but (for a period at least), give you a further incentive from the £750 they have saved. They'd still be £500 ish better off, multiply that by thousands of people and that's a decent sum.

Trouble is mate, that is common sense and decent logic.

You expect our mps to do simple maths and actually help the citizens whilst helping the country?

Why aren't normal proper thinking people in charge of this country instead of the old school tie and Etonians !!??

Cos them Etonians or whatever they am called lol have wormed their way in and made a click where only there kind am in control, things have too change we need more ordinary folk in charge defo or we will never prosper again as a nation fully even John Major said this recently ffs lol

Because we live in an upside down world JF: Out there somewhere is a world the right way up. Things have opposites. We landed on the up side down planet.

All the stupid people are in power in this world..

:1: Well said, i have been saying this very thing for years now :3: I honeslty question sometimes if we am in a back to front kind of world where things get run shit instead of right, i say this all the time to the Mrs and dad and i get nods off others in agreement when saying it to other folk, so it ay just us thinking this stuff :19:

People talk about breaking down the class barriers and then now and scrape to the blue bloods, the rich, the old school ties. Why? Beats me, really does, some just seem to like being subjugated I guess.

The ruling elite must really be laughing when they see the streets lined with onlookers waving at the ultra rich condescending them with a wave.

For as long as this and the House of Lords exist, the establishment will always rule and the working class will always be fed shite.

Rant alert.

It would help having a proper Labour Party to represent the working and lower classes. Not even just the working classes but I want to see a distinction.

Politicians have tried to make everyone middle class. Thatcher selling council houses didn't help.

I can't see a cause. The majority of the voting population do not have time to drill down into minute detail over every government policy. What I want is to know what a party stands for and vote for that ideology. I should be able to have a clear idea where a party would stand on any issue without knowing.

The last man I felt offered this 'an ideology' was the late John Smith. Unfortunately I was very young and the rest is history.

:1: You know the score Fear dude, we just have to hope enough of us wake up to do something about it, the lack of interest/belief in voting as we all feel no change will happen anyway is just showing the disillusioned people we am now as a whole, accepting our fate is worse than being rounded up and exterminated imo

Agreed lewis, we don't really have conviction politicians anymore, we have career politicians and the rich boys who actually don't need to work if they don't want to anyway.

Impossible for them to empathise with people who have worried all week if they can out food on the table, pay their mortgage or rent, etc.

And it isn't their fault they were born into privilege but it is very tough when hey think (any party) we are all in this together!
