Oh dear Hershey have stopped the import of British sweets into the US on grounds of " brand confusion " !!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone told siggy or brownie .
We should all pray for them :94:

Just confirms Americans have no taste.

Interestingly, If I wanted to, I could but Cadburys chocolate in selected outlets here in Yogyakarta. I don't know about the rest of Indonesia though as I very rarely eat chocolate.

I'm amazed Cadburys have just rolled over and allowed this to happen. Sounds like they didn't put up much of a fight.

Hershey's is crap though.

The only American chocolate I eat is Resses peanut butter cups and that's coz the peanut butter masks the taste (or lack of taste) of the chocolate.

In reallity no independant can be banned from importing and selling the chocolates but Hershey and Cadbury are both owned by Kraft Foods and as such, a lot of pressure can be brought to bare, even on the independants.

Could also be a huge marketing ploy... after watching the news last night Natalie went out and bought a huge bar of Dairy Milk. Wonder how many others did the same...

Big boost in dairy milk sales, then retract the ban. Nice way of beefing up the bottom line before the results are announced in April.

Judging by the comments about the new recipe for Cadbury's Cream Eggs, there's not much Cadbury's chocolate here either.

People always moan about change... some people moaned about Dairy Milk tasting different as soon as Kraft took over, but the recipe is still the same.

The Crème Egg thing was probably marketing again.... bet loads of people went out and bought one to check if they really did taste different.
