Actually, looking back it was 3 points in 6 games, so it probably was an improvement. At least it is 3 points more than Pardew has achieved in the last 6 games and 1 point more than Coleman has got in the last 10.
I reckon administration will come before any new owner for the tramps and maybe that's why Quinn or a consortium is hovering. Im surprised Ashley isn't interested in selling us for a profit and then picking them up in division 3 with a cleared debt.
Just think of all the free advertising when his carrier bags are floating around the S.O.S.
I just seem to recall the story of when he was chairman they played Cardiff away one night ... The tramp fans flew to bristol. But due to bad weather they were unable to fly back.. he put them all in taxis and didn't set off back up to the north east until the last fan was on his way .
I think Coleman got lucky with Wales, he had Gareth Bale to lift a very average team up a few notches. The makems here at work are buzzing about the prospect of Quinn coming back, just like we were with KK I guess, look how that ended up?
With the debts the tramps have there is no way any prospective buyer will do a deal now.
The best case scenario is a minus 12 point start in division 3 with a Quinn backed group running the show and either a Monkey's Heed or a Roy Keane parading the dug out in a half empty stadium.
Worst case scenario for them is more of the same uncertainty and a ghost town of a club hurtling down the leagues with no quick fix in sight.
The makems at work all seem to have given up on this one now "fake news" apparently.
I just heard also that they are shutting down part of the stadium next year, with fans who hold season tickets in that part refusing to move (probably in case someone shits on their seat) and all those contentious issues.
Remember their banner lads "lets all laugh at the mags". You reap what you sow.
