Neymar

There's a strange dichotomy a lot of footballers have in relation to pain.

Take a ball to the face (or somewhere more tender) from a couple of yards and they seem to play the hard man and act as though nothing has happened. However, the slightest contact from an opponent has them prone and screaming for their mum. Always found that odd.
 
Don't get me wrong, I think Neymar is a complete bellend too, and he did massively overreact to what happened, but I don't think you can say the Mexican player never touched him. As he went to pick the ball up he clearly stood on Neymar's ankle. Not enough to justify Neymar rolling around like he'd been shot, but it definitely looked like he intentionally stood on him.
 
I am not sure, but think that most of the players at his level are sponsored for advertising reasons, so surely they are embarrassing the companies and products that are paying them money???

He was actually touched but as Wayne says, a spider would have barely flinched. Agree with Bromley , hideous cheat.

The incident reminded me of Rivaldo also of Brazil at the 2002 World Cup which resulted in a Turkey player getting sent off, disgusting. Blatant cheating like this makes me feel physically sick, there's still nowhere near enough being done to clamp down on this kind of behaviour, hasn't done for years.

I would quite happily see Neymar banned for the rest of the tournament and actually think that would be a fair punishment. Players continue to dive and cheat because they can get away with it, simple. Surely with clear video footage officials can look at these incidents after games and take action.

Neymar is a disgusting little cheat and I hope Mexico equalise with 10 minutes left in this game...

When I saw the OP title amongst all these other new signing theads, I thought he was coming here. Dodged a bullet.
 
As Lineker said "Neymar has the lowest pain threshold since Opta stats started". Not sure who is a bigger wimp, him or Pepe.
