To be fair we are 10 points off 5th, who just happen to be Chelsea. 4 games ago we were a point ahead of them.

Shows how quickly things can change in this league.

Coincidentally Chelsea changed manager around the time. Do we even look like we're going to hit an upward trajectory? I have absolutely no faith we can beat anyone now. Not judging that on just this season either we've been playing like this since last March and even the games we've won we've played shite.
 
The crowd were shit on Saturday and its little things like that, that create these toxic situations. Howe isn't here to fail and surely he's earned the respect from everyone to be allowed the extra time to adapt when things haven't gone to plan.

For me, he gets the rest of this season and then next Summer to see if he can sort out the weak links. If we start next season slow then that would be a sufficient slot to examine if any change is needed. Now is not the time when so many factors have to be taken into consideration and that includes still being in touching distance of the European spots, still in the FA Cup and nicely placed to progress in the champions league amidst the backdrop of another injury list.

The dreamer is back on. The fans have given their full support but are fed up with the response from the players on the pitch. Howe has taken us as far as he can. We will achieve nothing this season and the summer transfer window is to blame.
Of course we could still finish top 4 according to some, I mean one.
Fans are entitled to their opinion and should not be considered as toxic .
Howe deserves nothing, he has done well but does not have the answers as is proved by his post match comments saying we are playing well apart from the Brentford game. How many away games have won, very few

Yes, I predicted Champions League qualification and whilst the season hasnt ended yet, it's pretty obvious that we'll almost certainly fall short. Things can be swung a number of ways including us only being 6 points behind Liverpool but it's fair to say we've gone from an almost certain bet of a team to one in transition. That's the thing though, a prediction isn't a certainty or a guarantee, it's a personal opinion based on what information or knowledge is available at a certain time.

It could also be argued that the story of the season has been scripted by the Isak saga and the countless strikers that turned us down before we seemed to settle for our 10th or 11th choices, regardless of that, it's been a mix of being a nearly team to one that could suffer anxiety on the back of certain fans having their knickers up their arse.

Howe is guilty of trying to win on all fronts with arguably his best available team on paper at a time. This in turn has caused fatigue and a mixture of complacency with those who's form has dipped keeping their places when they maybe wouldn't have elsewhere. We've went from a very capable, top premier league side to one that is now more adapted for European football. Maybe this is a lesson that Howe will take on board moving forward and it's one that i think he will as he's been one of our most dedicated and intelligent managers we've ever had.

With support, time and experience, I am fully confident that Howe will turn this round although certain sections of our support don't deserve it considering what he brought to the city just shy of a year ago.
 
You dont want to believe the media. Howe was fully aware of the strain of more games.The fact that strikers turned us down is nobodys fault but Newcastle, slow to act and indecisive.
according to Howe he was happy with his squad which has proved to be a mistake. All teams get injuries and thats no excuse . There is being realistic and being with your head up your backside.
Time will tell.
