New Years Eve?

The Fear

A Wise Man (once sat next to him)
Any plans for New Years Eve then folks?

I was out for a curry with Rev and his family plus my mom and dad, but we are postponing as I don't want to pass on this bug!

Having a gathering round my house, would call it a party but it can really be when we will have our 21 month old son asleep upstairs. Will probably make some curry based food and take it easy really. Last year me and the missus watched the boy in the striped pyjamas, which is not the most celebratory film.

All being well, we'll be in Scotland for Hogmanay. It's just a quick visit; early train tomorrow morning and returning the afternoon of New Year's Day.

Off to the Cricket club for the annual New Years Eve party.

Our daughter has just told us her boyfriend is coming up from Northampton to stay and Wills mate is going as well , so we have a full house for a couple of days.

Plenty of dancing for you New Years Eve then sirdennis, I know, much like myself, how much dancing you do! lol

Mrs Pride and myself have been invited to some (can't remember exactly who and what the relationship is...Lol) relations anyway. Been told to turn up between 5 & 7pm so it should be a long one.

Obviously I'll be taking a bottle......... I thought pasteurised would be best.....Lol

Lol . The only time I can remember dancing on New Years Eve is when we got back from Chelsea when McLeish was manager and we had won 3-1. They couldn't get me off the dance floor I was that euphoric.

Proper exciting thesedays my life, stopping in mom and dad coming over for a bit and might have me auntie cousen and her lad pop over if they feel ok for a few hours and erm thats it really, i like to try and stay up to see the firework displays on tv with Big Ben but las few years have nodded off lol

I'm a bit like Fear at Xmas with the New Year. Not really fussed one way or another. Probably stay in and watch Jools Holland. I'm half Scottish so I should be more excited. The gym is open on New Years day so I'll be there first thing.

Used to enjoy it as a youngster in the pub on the pull etc. But never did the midnight thing, I used to disappear for 5 mins.

I'm not one for rituals ... Used to disappear with a nice girl usually back then, those were the days!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going to the fox pub. The joys. Used to love going out nye. Now its a chore. Might just stay in if i can persuade the mrs im ill.

I used to be hitting the town Wolvo Brum Merry Hill Waterfront or Dudley on a New Years and the cost of the Taxi's back then was like £20 TO GO TO BRUM ON NEW YEARS EVE LOL, i remember being to skint for a Taxi so me and the lads on a freezing night short sleeve shirts about 4am in the morning walking it back from Wolvo arrrr them was the days

Should be working on the plumbing in the new place, might stand in the garden with a cup of green tea at midnightish, can't think of anywhere I would rather be : )

No, sounds a beautifully place Juan. The explanation a while back of the noises you heard painted a lovely picture.

Will likely stay in and watch Jools Holland's show, then stand outside in the freezing cold at midnight getting frostbite on my nadgers whilst watching the fireworks being let off in the distance and saying happy new year to the neighbours. Then back inside for a warm mug of cocoa. It's tough being a rock n roller in 'ull.

Going down the pub with the rugby club lads and 2 of the football teams from our local, then all off to a bloke called Clive`s in Tipton for an all night party.Free booze all night apparently !
And the coaches we`ve hired are being paid for by Clive aswell. Bonus !

Where's my invite Clive? As I will probably be the only one coming from up here could you please organise a taxi rather than a coach?

Will be toasting a hopeful Villa win.

I'll be wondering whether to do my normal drunken New Year's Day midnight message on the frontpage but having a very severe internal argument that there's very little from 2014 when it comes to Villa that I'd like to remember....so that next can looks inviting as opposed to the keyboard!
