New Year?

The Fear

A Wise Man (once sat next to him)
So...

what you doing for the New Year then?

Do you usually celebrate it or are you not keen!?

I used to love going out on New Years even because unlike Christmas Eve, you don't have to worry how you'll be the next day. I don't bother so much these days but will go for an early curry with the old dears then probably a film after.. it's rock n roll

We`ll probably have a walk down the Old Horns thinking we`ll just go for a couple of hours, then stagger back home at 1 in the morning.

Been invited to a 'do' at a Restaurant/ entertainment bar called Bebek.

My mate plays bass in the band 'Jumpin Jack'. They're playing there from 9pm and at midnight there is fireworks out the back. Just hope it doesn't rain.

Odeon to watch some whale film first and franky and bennies for lunch at 3.

Then home to watch crap tv and have a few beers.

As soon as i go out post 6pm i know i will spend way way way too much. Staying at home is safe

Must admit, they often feel really forced don't they?

If I wasn't copping off by midnight I used to go 'hide' for 5 mins when old lang syne was sung. I'm not a follower or joiner inner (!) and really don't like traditions 'just because'.

But obviously being the beauty I am, I usually was copping off :17:

Up at my sister in laws to see New Year in tomorrow! The usual. It's either at hers or Mom in Laws. This year we are taking the heady walk up to my sister in laws. Jet set life or what! See New Year in with Joules Holland and then we can come home to bed.

Me I wouldn't bother and neither would Mr KK however got to keep them happy else we would never hear the end of it.

Long gone have our days of going out etc. etc. Last time I ever did I was still with the ex and it was 1999.

It will be my first NYE off work since 1999/2000, so I'm a bit confused!

What happens? I'm normally serving many of our regulars (same people for last 15 years - a tad boring tbh) but now I don't have to work, I'm a bit stumped.

As far asI know, we're just staying in, watching a bit of telly and having some vino and/or champers. I'm not a NYE type really, have had to work for so long and watch others having fun, I'm a bit immune to it.

Certainly not into going out to pubs/bars/restaurants, sad hermit that I am!

:7:

Not keen on new year at all. Love that the fact that in towns and cities up and down the country some people will be singing auld langs syne at midnight and by five past will be knocking seven bells out of each other. Oooo out with old in with new blah blah blah, every year i wake up on jan 1st and everything is exactly the same as it was when i went to bed!.
