New year resolutions

Mine is to stop swearing.
I wondered what some at our beloved club might be resolving for 2017?
JED: Remember that when asking players to be aggressive, that doesn't mean getting sent off?

Not to get wound up about stuff that doesn't matter and, more specifically, not to feel the need to react. Example: I get bored of talk of Dry January before the year begins and get progressively irritated by people reminding me at every verse end that they are not drinking. I start to feel that I'd like to have a wet January and having a drink every day of the month. This year I will be serene and good humoured and just keep on keeping on.

Good call that jokerman.

Without doubt the nations (and indeed the western worlds) obesity issue will break the NHS in the future. I am a type 2 diabetic (most likely cause was lifestyle) and so I have seen first hand how much money is spent on people like me.

My new years resolution is to get the weight off and get my HB1AC lower. That means reducing my sugar intake and increasing the exercise beyond what I already do.

I am also going to try to adopt Jogills suggestion as well. That might be harder than my HB1AC challenge though.

Good luck Mark. Report back this time next year!

I liked Jo's call too. Tough to live up to though.

I know exactly what you mean about the dry January thing. I'm basically a non drinker (except for a few cheeky all inclusive beers on holiday) and find it really sad when reading Facebook status' like "woo hoo, a whole week and not one glass of wine. Don't know how I'm getting through these cold winter evenings".
Have a cup of tea and shut the f*** up FFS. It's only alcohol not oxygen!!!!!
Think I might take a leaf out of your book and try a "non anger" resolution!
