New Tablet

Tab 10 linked on previous page,

Couple of hundred quid off so looks a good price.

Ordered the norton protection as well, think I'm right the android versions are same as computers and can get viruses. That's the one good thing with Apple I guess.

The last 2 major viruses were targeted at Apple. They just go for the numbers, really. The more popular something is, the more it will be targeted.

At least with MS, Android and most others they tell you and issue fixes. The Mac virus earlier this year went on for months before Apple admitted it and dealt with it.

As ever Fear, usual rules apply. Don't install anything you don't know and trust. I've had Android since day 1 and haven't had a virus yet.

Never had a virus, not had anti-virus software for last 2 years.

Cool, cheers fellas, although the norton package was only a tenner so have bought it. But yup, duly noted!!

first day I was sooooo tired I got it out of the box and put it back in again!

Yesterday, I slowly set things up.

MUCH MUCH better than the ipad, really pleased, I do a fair amount of work on the tablets these days and found some of the features on the ipad really fiddly.

Very pleased.

Glad you're happy Fear. Any problems or questions, just post and we'll try and help.

Remember when Tubbz said that Android would rule the World one day, all those years ago?????

Wished i would have listened to you Heath dude and got the Kindle Fire tablet why? The Nabi 2 we was up until 5am this morning trying to get Amazon app store on it finally got it on but no luck with Google Play app store just won't load up the Google page properly and when we get to click on an app in there mentions something like ''you have not added this item to your email address in your shopping trolley icon'' something like that pffff bloody hell lol, we load up the free game sites on the web for him so he still gets his ben 10 and spiderman games thankfully,,,,,,,but i am listening to you in future i swear by it!!!

Yeah, always had android phones but needed an i something for business (when we have issues) but now business partner had one, I've been able to get this.

Much better!

Just got to get my s planner calendar to sync with phone, read a few forums saying they are a pain, I would replace with Google calendar but further reading says the samsungs keep defaulting to theirs regardless !

I only use Samsung for both phone and tabley. I use both google calendar and exchange active sync (work server) and have no problems at all, both are always up to date on both devices. I never use the Samsung accoun, in fact I've not even logged onto Samsung on my new phone(S5) and everythibg is perfect based on my google account, even all settings for wifi log in for both home and work transfered automatically when I set up the new phone. I guess the answer is to not log into a Samsung account.

Sorry to hear that Clive. Sometimes you get lucky, but in general you get what you pay for.

I've had a look, and there is a way to fix t, but it is very complicated, and I would struggle to get it done.

Your main option is to get hold of the installation files for what you want, and install them manually. Have you got another android tablet or phone? I can try and talk you through installing the app and then extracting the files to copy over to the Nabi. It's actually not too difficult.

Can you install S Planner on the phone, and use that exclusively? If not, I'll have a look when I get back later.

Have it on the phone, was trying to sync the phone one which has all the dates / info on with the new tablet.

If not, will just stick to the phone one. Not a major issue but you would think they would sync easily, especially as they have a sync button!

I would never get an I phone always have android phones but when it comes to tablets it's got to be an iPad.

Mind you it's because all my music is on a server using I tunes so the iPad works perfectly for music

Finding the android tablet so much better and less fiddly.

Don't do music on tablets, I have ipods for that.
