I imagine that the club will be hoping this morning, that this fuss will all die down now. I’m not so sure - I’ve just read an article on The Athletic which is pretty damning about the deal, lack of due diligence from the club, and the way that BK8 has marketed itself. It seems like they have removed their own soft porn marketing but that social media is still full of “influencer” content featuring the bimbos in bikinis etc.

This is an absolute shambles. It’s embarrassed our club and us fans and makes a mockery of the “family club” image. The women’s NCFC team used to wear shirts with Dafabet on the front - I would assume they would be expected to wear new shirts with BK8 on them. Unbelievable.

The biggest question for me, is who is running things in the marketing department? Ultimately, I imagine it’s Kensell who the buck stops with. On the article on the Athletic, they have that picture, published yesterday, of Darren Eddie and BK holding up a shirt with BK8 on it - Darren Eddie is now a “Brand Ambassador” for BK8 - FFS! He must be mortified by all this and being associated heavily with it.

Surely this is going to hurt shirt sales even more than the previous betting company sponsorships, isn’t it? I wouldn’t want my kids wearing that branding.

The Canaries Trust ended their statement on the matter with four words:

”This is not acceptable.”

I fully agree.
 
Totally, tucks. I'm sure someone will lose their job over this but not top person.

Next we have our new kit maker who will that be the BNP, The Weinstein Company.

Lots of people actually saying it's going to be Joma. Why can't we get one of the big boys to make our shirts?
 
Bears. Answer is because Smiffs are desperate to remain owners and every single action at the club is to cut down on costs to help the failing ( if you actually want NCFC to be premier league quality ) self funding project.
They will get the best financial deal for a sponsor regardless of being ethical
( which is odd for champagne socialists ) and cheapest deal to design and manufacture the shirts.
 
Just listened to what the Canaries trust had to say and I agree with every word . The club have GOT a to cancel their deal with BK8 . What are away fans going to shout at our female supporters? Stuff like ‘You’re just a bunch of whores ‘. or ‘ You’re just a bunch of pornos ‘ ?

Just watched that video.
What I can say is however much fans emphasize the word ' our ' before club,
it is not. The Smiffs own it, will not sell it and have no ambitions and as such can sell Emi or any other great player we have as well as organizing sponsors with whoever they want. Evidence is clear over the past few days.
 
Have any other club gone with BK8 as sponsors? If not why didn't City look into why? I am sure there was another club rumoured.

I also see that the club is now having an urgent meeting to discuss this.
 
Haha! The meeting should have been weeks ago after the due diligence check identified the problem. Norwich fans discovered more in 10 mins than the club did in 4 weeks or more.
