New Bid In For Villa Centre-Half - Doubts Grow About Bruce's Future

Tell them because they tried to take advantage of us when we were in the shit the price to them is now 15 mil.

Wouldn't make that much sense if we bought him at £8m, sell for £10m, that's only £2m to FFP

Meh, no thanks, we'll keep him !

He's been here for 2 years, so his value has been amortised to £4m. Therefore £6m towards FFP I think - don't quote me though. ☺

I've seen people argue all 3 Merd.

Knowing FFP exists in it's own little bubble, whilst not 100% I think keep numbers simple - a deal at £10m wipes out debt adds a little to profit - so it has a solid effect. How much is for others to decide lol

Grealish is obviously different as he has no cost from an FFP point of view - it's all profit.

Never mind the money going here and there, Chester's actual value to the club is far more than £10m.
Have you all forgotten that we only have two experienced centre-backs and they are both naturally right-sided players.
Chester is the type of player who will make better players of any who play alongside him because he is calm and deliberate.
Remember when he had Baker beside him, how Baker was improving almost game by game.
OK our manager decided to get in a 36 year old left-sided centre-back for his farewell season but, stupidity of stupidities, he then sold our only other left-sided central defender in Baker, who could have learnt so much spending a season with both Terry and Chester.
