Ha, it’s ok he left on his own device in the night after circling the living room a load of times. Impressive to fly so far without hitting anything before managing to squeeze outside between walls - the echolocation must’ve been working overtime.

We get huge Flying Foxes here (fruit bats). Every evening around sunset the skies are covered in them all leaving their daytime haunts off searching for fruit trees.
They often fly real low over our garden. If you stand under one you get a massive downdraft as they flap by. The forces they create are extraordinary.

Big issues in the North-West:
We`re just not used to hot weather, who`s fault is all this ?
Worst of all, with highs of 33°+ expected AGAIN today, it's time to ask "could the government have done more?" Downing Street knew about this heatwave weeks ago and have done nothing. Shipments of 400,000 pairs of Speedos and 500,000 bikinis, sun cream and Cornettos have reportedly been sent back as unsafe after media claims the shipment was quarantined a month ago and Boris did nothing.

We’ve had nothing like the south east temperatures in North Devon but it has been very pleasant interspersed with serious thunderstorms.
What we have had is a different type of tourist.
The police have said it’s been like August bank holiday every day.
There’s been quite a lot of unacceptable behaviour from young people who would probably normally have gone to Ibiza.
Plus loads of motor homes filling up the car parks and staying for days.
The Torridge council is actually changing the bye laws to end this.
Hopefully it will all calm down when the kids go to school.
