Vital Reserves Team
With not a lot happening I thought I would tell my background.
I live near Alton and my father and Jimmy Dickinson grew up together and I knew him as Uncle Jim. They were close friends and went through football initially with Eddie Lever locally with Jim moving on to better things. They played Cricket for my fathers side The Hampshire Maniacs along with many other 60's players that included Brian Lewis, Harry Harris and also Cliff Portwood who around 1965, married my sister. As a young lad of about 7 I went to matches with my father and did occasionally throughout the years. After the passing of uncle Jim I did no longer but have deep roots in the club and avidly follow their progress. I will add pictures of the Cricket team and an early one of Eddie Lever on The Butts in Alton.
