I don't mean one hit wonders, musicians you listened to their albums.

I used to crank up the volume to bands such as:-

Zodiac mindwarp and the love reaction
Jagged edge
Angelwitch
Balaam and the angel
Ace Freeley (known for being in Kiss but not as a solo artist)
Alex Lifeson (known fir being in Rush but not for his solo stuff)
Steve Stevens
Candlemass

Great idea, Ian.

I would also have put Balaam and the Angel, and now you mention Zodiac Mindwarp they should have been on my list, but I'd forgotten.

Red Lorry, Yellow Lorry
Bauhaus
All About Eve
The Wonderstuff

I'll have to go and dig my Vinyl out of the loft for a full list!!! Might even have to set up the old turntable for a while. Oh, such good memories.

I got rid of all my vinyl when I moved to Norway, too heavey and as such too expensive to bring with me. I still regret it after nearly 16 years.

Angelic Upstarts if they actually qualify.

I don't think the rules are that strict!!

I'm going to have to look up some of these names. I don't get as much chance as I used to, to listen to music. Mostly that was in the car, and now I'm driving less that's gone. I'll have to make an effort and set some time aside.

I got rid of all my CDs when MP3s started coming out, but the Vinyl had to stay. I can't see me ever selling it. Many of the Albums are limited editions, and some are signed. They were such a huge part of my youth!!!

They are however, bloody heavy, and currently are still in the loft until I get the strength to bring them down!!!!

Surely everyone remembers Squeeze don't they?

Not really got any forgotten bands I don't think... I remember them all for a start! lol

The main music I listened to from the ages of 9-13 or so were:

Alice in Chains
Soundgarden
Nirvana
Pearl Jam
Slipknot
Metallica
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Oasis

and i still do!

Carter Unstoppable Sex Machine.

They were around at the same time as REM, James, Crowded House etc.... and I thought they were the best of the bunch, yet you always here the others still getting play time on the radio, but never hear any Carter played. Shame. They were awesome!

Hustler were a brilliant band too. I saw them support Queen back in the 70s and thought they were going to be big. I bought their album, but...... nothing.

'Get outa my house' was so catchy it could of been a big hit if it wasn't for the bits of swearing in it..... BBC wouldn't of approved.....Lol
