We all know - his track record tells us - that he knows where the back of the net is. He had a few injury problems at Wrexham a couple of seasons ago followed by loan spells at Wigan and Bradford that didn’t really work out. What encourages me is that although he is 31 he isn’t a player who has built his career around being really quick or really strong. He has built a career around having a good work rate and an eye for goal - a poachers instinct. That won’t have diminished with age. If we can get him back to doing what he does best, this could be a really good signing.

Good signing in my opinion. Forget his previous stats. He’s still quite capable if given the chances of scoring. A player that grafts and works hard for the team. ( or at least he used to )
