Good manager - but never had a 'proper' big club budget.
That's been the downfall of a few I can think of - do a good job on a shoestring without actually achieving anything / much, then, give them good funding and it goes Pete Tong.
We've even had a few here.
Let's hope its the end of their era.

Aye, lets hope this is the beginning of the end for the glory hunters.
Had a delivery guy yesterday from Leeds who told me in his broad Yorkshire accent he supports Manure.
Immediately felt contempt for him so took the piss. They just can't see it though.

Yep. Reckon a few might 'supporters' might jump ship if it doesnt fall into place immediately.
Just would have expected them to choose someone with a past history of winning things, and who has spent big money, wisely.

The difference between the real United & manure is that 'they' have a plan A, B, C, etc . I detest those tossers but I have no doubt that 'they' will have researched and analysed Sir Bulbous Noses replacement to the Nth degree.
However...... I do wonder if SFA has ended his career at the point when he knows Manures reign is coming to an end. Citeh & Chelski now just have to get the right manager and hey presto...... Manure regularly in 3rd or 4th spot.... I'm dreamin.

Will certainly be interesting to see how it all pans out for manure, I would be very surprised if it was Moyes to replace him, I think it will be Mourinho, he will bring Ronaldo back with him and they will win the league again next season, would be nice to see them start to slide but I cant see it

There will be a transitional period when the 'fans' can accept SFAs successor . Job done.
We should have done that with SBR but we were stupid.

That's exactly what I think. He's all over the media saying this lot are growing into a great team, and he is leaving the club in great health, but to my mind this has been the worst set of ManU players for a long long time. They seemed to win through sheer effort and belief, even though they conceded leads time and time again. I can't see them getting away with that so many times next season.

The likes of Cleverley, Smalling and Welbeck are nowhere near the class of who they are replacing. I think Ferguson knows this.

I think many would have him here (Moyes).

I'm not one of them. He has achieved nothing as far as 'winning' is concerned.
Sure, he's never really had a budget to mount any sort of challenge.

But, largely, that's my point; There is no way to judge his transfer dealings, when it comes to big bucks; or how he will deal with a two game per week season.

He's a better manager than Pardew, for sure, but so was Hughton and JFK in my book - at least they could get a team to play with some heart, determination, and spirit, even if most players were shit.

Ithink the plan for MUFC is have whisky-nose 'tutor' Moyes into the role - it'll be almost like dual-management next year.

But I still think they are wrong not to appoint a winner direct. Which I'm delighted with, frankly. Lets see that fan-base evaporate.

A world-class player, who would you sign for, Mourinho, Guardiola, or Moyes?

It seems he's odds on for the job, apparently a thing asking fans to send welcome messages to moyes appeared on manures facebook page, which was then pulled saying no deal was in place yet. Wouldn't it be hilarious if after all this coverage he didn't get the job.

You wouldn't have much choice if your parents were called Smith like

No doubt Allerdyce will be throwing his hat in, citing he footballing methodology.
*hope they go for him
**knows there is more chance of Shola bagging a hat-trick to save us.

Ferguson will be in the background for a couple of years, he'll be the one's bringing the big names in, as for Moyes, not sure whether it will work or not, plays a bit negative sometimes, will have to change that straight away, he is however, a very dignified and honest manager, the opposite of that gobshite who manages us.

I think it might well work over time for them, and agree whisky-nose will have to give him advice in the early days, to get him 'in-line' - but can also see a few of the current squad thinking they might rather be elsewhere during this transistion period at least.
And a few who would normally sign for them thinking whisky-nose was in charge, and now its not, would have 2nd thoughts.
Hope it sends them into a spiral of debt as they fail to match the highs gone by. But that's just me.

Kinda think SAF has "endorsed" Moyes so he can keep his hand in so to speak ? Dont think Mourinho would put up with interference from the Board and pretty sure SAF wouldnt want to play second fiddle to the Special One !

Difficult situation for Moyes as he's apparently been very close to SAF in the past unlike Pardwho who thought he was until the wily old bastad fobbed him off with Squidward.
