You havd to admire the wisdom. (It's not just Steve, every manager talks like that when they are losing).
 
Please Steve - stop stating the obvious. None of us are thinking that GFC set out to lose games deliberately. If we are beaten by a better side - fair enough. We realise you and the players are trying and doing their best but we are just not very good. To improve we need better players - they usually cost money and that as we all know is another story.
 
Criticising him for stating the obvious is a bit odd given the criticism he’s received for going ‘off piste’ with recent comments?

Are you expecting him to come out and state that the players aren’t good enough and we need better ones?
 
If we need better players, then explain Accrington and Burton to me please?

The only thing I can think of (player wise) is that Eaves didn't start either of those games. Surely he's not the problem?
