Owls creditors owed more than £80m - includes more than £60m claim from Dejphon Chansiri - Insider Media

Sheffield Wednesday's creditors are owed more than £80m according to a report from administrators, including a claim in excess of £60m from former owner Dejphon Chansiri.

The administrators have now filed their report to creditors, detailing the club's financial position. This was prepared despite no statement of affairs having been received from former director Chansiri.

The report has revealed that claims from unsecured creditors total approximately £80m, including a claim of about £63.1m from Dejphon Chansiri.

Morecambe have not only suffered a back-to-back relegation to National League (North) but have a winding up order against them. It's all too complicated to comment on but there is widespread disillusionment with the club's new owners Panjab Warriors. Some of the stuff defies belief! Gosh it seems like yesterday I watched them thump us 5:1 in League 2.

BBC Radio Sheffield - Sheffield U. are selling players to keep within Financial Fair Play rules (no parachute payments now). Blades fans are not happy. SUFC is also paying back a lot of money on loans, which relate to the previous change of club ownership.

BBC Radio Sheffield - the current Blades owners did not appear in court today. COH Sports Bidco (who until a few days ago owned SUFC) has now been wound up following today's hearing , but the SUFC assets had already been transferred to a different company, based in the USA. The current owners said that Sheffield U. business will continue as usual. There seems to be general agreement though that the previous owner is owed money. Could be a long legal battle ahead now, and a possible points deduction.

BBC Radio Sheffield - more on the Blades. Chris Wilder said that they are now only likely to sign loans and free transfers before the deadline. He didn't sound very happy. According to the Guardian newspaper website, Blades co-chairman Steven Rosen now faces disqualification by the EFL.
