More financial problems for some clubs...

I will be glad when new owners have bought the club and get them sorted. Fed up of hearing and seeing them mentioned constantly in the media.
You break the rules to gain an advantage ( promotion/ avoiding relegation) then take the punishment.
Unfortunately till the rules are changed which I doubt club owners would agree to then ultimately fans will take most of the punishment.

Rules are voted on by EFL Chairmen including the 3 EFL Club Chairmen who represent other clubs.
Some fans couldn't get their " early bird " season ticket quick enough.
Chansiri ought to have been banned for a minimum of 10 years not the 3 year ban that was handed out.

Chansiri should be a warning to all football fans what could happen when it goes wrong.

In another sport. Rugby League. Salford have gone under. Big rush on to get the Phoenix club ready for the 2026 season. Cannot believe in this day and age that football and Rugby clubs, Both codes. Can just finish. Makes me grateful that the Millers are in safe hands. And I really do mean that.

There's always a lot of publicity and hand wringing when a club goes under but by comparison to almost any other sector of the economy it's a very rare phenomenon. In fact you could argue that lack of effective sanctions, inadequate financial control from football authorities and an absence of due diligence at clubs coupled with unreal expectations of fans would be better handled if more clubs went bust or more clubs were given heavy penalties like demotion 2 divisions.

Information from Sheffield Star via Joe Crann.

Understand that offers less than the mooted £30/35m are now set to be considered when it comes to the sale of Sheffield Wednesday, with at least one consortium who was formerly interested set to step back into the mix around £15-20m could be enough.

Not exactly a club in Financial trouble but…..

Plymouth Argyle into profit in the season they were relegated from the Championship and only because the owner Simon Hallett loaned them £12M.
Plymouth made profit on players such as Ryan Hardie, Dan Scarr, Adam Randell, Morgan Whittaker, Michael Cooper, Lewis Gibson.
They sold a couple of other players this pre- season as well.
Plymouth are also investing in its training facilities at Devonport.
Argyle are also actively seeking investment as well.

Reason I mentioned this is because it shows how clubs rely so much on their owners and how important it is to buy, develop, improve players, sell at a profit and spend on infrastructure.

Radio Sheffield - Owls fan complaining that their losing run is partly due to putting every player back in their own penalty area to defend free kicks and corners, then if they win possession, there is nobody upfield to pass to. Seen that before somewhere... with about the same level of success!

Meanwhile... some Owls fans are starting to get impatient about the slowness of the takeover process.
