An American creationist has claimed that intelligent alien life doesn't exist, on the grounds that they cannot, by default, be saved by Jesus.

Ken Ham, who is a media savvy believer in God, a denier of virtually everything else, and president and "CEO of Answers in Genesis" and the Creation Museum in Kentucky, says that the Bible is evidence for the supposition that aliens don't exist.

"The Bible doesn’t say whether there is or is not animal or plant life in outer space. I certainly suspect not. The Earth was created for human life. And the sun and moon were created for signs and our seasons—and to declare the glory of God."

But in his most controversial passage he says that intelligent aliens cannot be saved by Jesus, since they are affected by original sin but are not descendants of Adam, so can't be saved. As such he thinks they don't exist.

Was just thinking we hadn't had a good religion v aliens debate and one appears.

Coincidence?

The truth is out there.

:98: :171:

Aliens exist. They may not take the shape of what an alien is supposed to but whether it be a germ, micro organism, monsters, fish etc... But somewhere, on a planet, there will be some kind of life. Impossible for there not to be.

You see, the Bible makes it clear that Adam’s sin affected the whole universe. This means that any aliens would also be affected by Adam’s sin, but because they are not Adam’s descendants, they can’t have salvation.

Have people read the comments, mainly the Aliens going to hell report as linked??

I guess you haven't been studying the same science I have. Modern science supports God more and more all the time. It has proven evolution to be 100% impossible.

Aliens exist. They may not take the shape of what an alien is supposed to

Many shapes and sizes, and according to the Sumerian cuneiform tablets, we were created in their image, genetically engineered from the local Hominids, in fact according to many ancient texts we were created in their image, it's only in later texts that they moved away from understanding that these were advanced visitors to proclaiming them to be gods due to the power of flight.

All the info's out there.

There's always that rumour "NASA & The Vatican are working together to find the best way of breaking some news that is considered by both parties as life changing for all!" Namely they've found life on Mars.

Not sure on that Juan If you are basing this on Zecharia Sitchin's work, you may want to look again. His translations of the Sumarian tablets has been proven incorrect.

Think you will find that was David Bowie

No Heath, there's much more out there than his work, ancient writings, tablets, scrolls, all telling the same story at about the same time in history, stretching the globe, they can't all have been mistranslated.

People can rip apart individual evidence, when there is nothing to back it up, they can make excuses and say this means that, it's an anomaly, but when there is more than enough evidence to back up a theory, it is no longer a theory.

There is also a lot of back stabbing amongst those who claim to be experts in ancient languages, the reality is if you can make your model fit the available data you can make a career out of it, tours, book signings and so on.

I'm not so sure on that either, Juan. Most of the similarities refer to trying to explain the World around us, and coming up with supernatural solutions, because Science hadn't evolved far enough.

Please bear in mind I would love us to find Aliens, and I do look at all evidence from all sides before making my mind up. I don't just go into this blindly.

Perhaps you could point me towards something I've missed?

It's amazing that the original post claims that the idea of extraterrestrial life is absurd but he believes in Fairy tales .
