Sounds like it according to comments from Lovell on KentOnline (https://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/sport/lovell-this-is-it-187687/)

“It was clear that the one we went for was never going to leave the football club at this particular time so there was no point (in making another offer). Once you make an offer for somebody and the club turn around and say ‘no, we are not selling’ then that's the end of it."

So who's the player we bid for last week?

At this stage it seems that loans/out of contract players will be the only options left after 5pm.

Will just be relieved if Holy is staying and Tommy Forecast not arriving as back up to Hadler.

It's not like swanning round the shops on a Saturday with your money burning a hole in your pocket. As a football manager you don't go looking for trousers and end up having to spend the cash on a pressure wash.

If there is any money I would rather it be used to offer new contracts for some of our existing players before they walk on a free.

An enquiry was made as to the valuation of Christian Doidge, same as with Bristol Rovers, Aberdeen, Sunderland and Bradford City.
