Milner''s at it again

I used to have massive respect for James Milner. But since he opted to wind down his contract, jump ship to the dippers and thus benefit from a huge signing on fee so that he could play left back instead of his much-vaunted "I want to play in the middle" claims he has dropped further and further in my estimation.

This is largely because of the regular stream of negative tripe that he has delivered for the benefit of the scousers as he sucks up to his new fan base.

In his latest offering to appease the fans of the massively underperforming World Beaters he delivers this assessment......

Liverpool are a better team than title-winning Manchester City sides

I don't recall any City player promulgating any similar kind of sh*t when facing any of their former teams which says to me that this sort of 'suck up to the rabid scouser' tripe is sanctioned by the Liverpool media office.

Which just says it all really.

of course they are Jimmy, perhaps the city lads should tell the premier that we did not deserve to win and give them to a Club that is yet to achieve the number one spot.

Just a reminder though, It was Liverpool's title to lose and guess what they did.

btw I see you also bottled in the League Cup Final

I also had respect for James Milner and didn't know he was slating City, i hope he remembers the buzz he got lifting the PL trophy as that bunch will never win it.

"Yet City fans chose to turn on Milner on Sunday, booing him every time he was in possession, the decision to target him a likely response to Liverpool fans' jeering of one of their own former players, Raheem Sterling."

Journalism eh? A quick glance at any City forum will show him how wide of the mark he is but why do that when you can just make shit up instead.

First rule of footballing journalism - never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Nothing to do with their treatment of Sterling (who has never to my knowledge) produced any comments doing down his old club, unlike Milner who, every time we play them, delivers some tripe that 'bigs him up' with his new best mates in the dipper crowd.

I found this article that I liked.

That is an outstanding find Hominid, thanks for posting :001:

I herd McDonnell on R5L a few days ago and the tone of his comments were in complete accord with the way in which he has approached this issue - biased, short sighted and limited in the extreme. This article is excellent.

I watched the game on Liverpool TV.
Gary McAllister and whoever.
Some of their comments gave me a good laugh. Gary thought the booing of Milner was not the best but to his credit he tempered his remarks a bit. The other ****** kept up a refrain about the amount of penalties they should have had, they should have been playing against ten men as Toure should have been sent off etc etc.
The one that gave me the best laugh was when we made a bad pass it was " a terrible pass" whilst when they made a bad pass it was "Stones got in the way of that pass" bloody hilarious imo.
Obviously not Stones every time of course.

By the sounds of it I wouldn't be surprised if they called for Caballero to be sent off for using his hands to make a save
