There’s no doubt Luke Williams should have gone sooner.

The dramatic downturn in form started on 1st Jan with a 4-0 defeat at bottom but one in the table Portsmouth.

A 3-0 defeat at Cardiff, a 5-1 defeat at Norwich amongst other defeats followed.

It ended with a 3-1 defeat at lowly Stoke on 15th Feb, 7 defeats from 9 games plus a 3-0 defeat in the FA Cup to winless Southampton in that period.

From 31/12 Pos9 P24 Pts33 to 15/2 Pos17 P33 Pts37.

To Swans fans it was a huge relief when Luke Williams departed on 18 Feb.
He had a 32% win record from his 58 matches during his 13 month reign.

Alan Sheehan took over and 11 games later he had garnered 23 points for a 63% win record.

An amazing 5 consecutive wins leave us just 6 points short of the play-offs with 2 games left, a miraculous turnaround in form.

We move on to our penultimate game of the season and it’s another tough away game in London at the Lions Den, Millwall this Saturday.

They are 3 points away from the play-offs after their 3-1 home win over Norwich yesterday and have form, 4 wins from their last 6 games, although they lost 4-1 at Blackburn in the match before Norwich.

They have some big players and are good at set-pieces, something we need to be wary of.

The reverse fixture on 24 Oct was a 0-1 win for Millwall after a 90’ goal against the run of play for Millwall’s first away win of the season. Swans having failed to score for the fifth consecutive game, slumping to 17th in the table.

We are now in better times though and the players will want to keep the unbeaten run going.

It should be a good game
 
I didn't go on there much but that's a shame as it's been going for years and years. Think it's the oldest Swans site out there. Any idea why it's been shut down?
 
I've just read their message now. Similar to what happened with this site for me. Just takes up too much time in the end. Plus there are other more popular forums and social media and that many prefer.

I don’t know how much Darling’s absence will affect the team but we will miss his heading ability in both boxes.
 
Sixth and last play-off place up for grabs as Coventry on 66 points lost at Luton 1-0 in the early kick-off. A big bearing on this game. Millwall are on 63 points just behind them and then Swansea who are on 60 points.
Sell out crowd, just about to kick-off.

A much better second-half, plenty of chances but we just couldn’t score
Unbeaten run ended sadly
Millwall better first-half, but lucky deflection for the goal
Swans better second-half, should have got the draw, but blunt up front
Millwall first double over Swansea since 1985
 
Four shots on target second half, all good chances, all wasted, such a shame as we shouldn’t have lost this game.
We definitely need a striker in the summer.
