Millwall v Swans, Boxing Day, Sunday 26 Dec 15:00

With the announcement that all Swans home games will be played behind closed doors until further notice, the only chance for us to see the Swans live will be to travel to away games.
After the postponement of our last game at QPR, next up is another away game in London, this time at Millwall.
Millwall FC are based in South East London at The Den, Bermondsey, in the shadow of Canary Wharf, since 1993, although they originated the other side of the Thames. The club was founded as Millwall Rovers by the workers of Scottish company J.T. Morton's canning and preserve factory in the Millwall area of the Isle of Dogs in London's East End in 1885.
In homage to their Scottish roots the team still play in the same colours as Scotland’s national football team.
Their nearest rivals are Charlton, who play at The Valley four miles away in Greenwich, although their biggest rivals are West Ham.
Millwall’s last match at home to Preston on 15 Dec was cancelled due to Covid in the camp, but our match there on Boxing Day has been given the go ahead.
It’s a contradiction that we cannot watch our team live at home. The Covid jab passes for all fans attending was working smoothly for recent home games. Yet we can travel with impunity to the other side of the UK to watch our team play in London, the Covid hot spot of the new Omicron variant.
Meanwhile two unnamed Swans players have been tested positive for Covid and are isolating. I guess we won’t know who they are until match day.
Swans fans can but hope that the 15 day enforced break has given the squad time to regroup and sort out our defensive frailties after the home drubbing dished out by Forest.
