Millers out on loan 2026/27 season

None yet... and given our depleted squad, not too surprising.

Last season's loaned-out Millers were Richardson, J.Clarke, Wilson, Ayres (now at Woking), McGuckin (now at Harrogate T.), Raggett (now at Colchester U.), and Hatton (now at Worksop T.). More details on the 2025/26 thread.

Richardson, J.Clarke and Wilson have all featured in some recent pre-season Millers friendlies.

Mike, Dean Gardner is one I am interested in. I think he is a pot and out forward and I think he has got something about him. Be interesting to see if he gets in and around the first team squad or whether he gets farmed out. I’d be disappointed to see him drop down more than a division.

Gardner wasn't a lead-the-line type forward in the reserves/youth team games that I have seen. He's had to fill in as a forward in recent friendlies because we had nobody else!

RUFC Official website - Dean Gardner has gone on a "Youth Loan" to Matlock Town (NPL Div.1E). This type of loan is usually initially for a month. The Gladiators website is describing him as a forward, Millers website is saying midfielder. He has also played at full back in some friendlies!

No details on Gardner's injury, but the Matlock Town Chairman has wished him a speedy recovery, so that could mean he is out for a while.

That didn't take long did it.

That didn't take long did it.

Odd. Can't work out if he's left to join Cresswell or if he got sacked after losing in the cup. The latter seems unlikely as he's only had a few games.
