Millers out on loan 2021/22

None yet.

Considering the young players who are on professional contracts...

Only Kayode has EFL experience. Cooper has played in the National League, but not much. Hull and Gratton were previously loaned to lower non-league teams.

With our injury problems, particularly in central defence, Cooper may be staying at the NYS this time around? We seem to have several players who can play at right back now- so maybe Hull will be loaned out if he can get L2/National Lge. experience, although he has featured quite a lot in the Millers pre-season games .Also we have signed more midfielders, so maybe Gratton could be going on loan too? Think Kayode will be staying this time and may even get the chance to start , but young striker, Greaves may get loaned out.

Not heard any rumours so far.

I'd like to think we were keeping all those who were out on loan last season - and send the others who haven't been out on loan yet out on loan - if that makes sense!

They don't have to be year-long loans. Plus I think that players in the development team can still go on short "youth loans"

As predicted earlier, a couple of the Millers youngsters have been loaned out.
GRATTON and HULL make their debuts for Guiseley in National League North today ("Level 6").

Neither scored , no "assists", neither were booked
HULL played whole game
GRATTON subbed 81 mins
Lost 2-4

No midweek fixture

GREAVES has also gone on loan now to Matlock Town of the Northern Premier League Premier Division ("Level 7") . Could there be other Millers youngsters loaned out before the deadline?

Update - GREAVES not playing today (Registration paperwork may not have been completed in time?). Matlock T. won 2-1. Think that they play their next fixture on Tuesday.

There is live radio commentary on the Guiseley NLN game - link on GAFC official website.
Curzon Ashton v Guiseley
HULL played whole game, didnt score, no "assist" not booked
GRATTON subbed 85 mins , didn't score, no "assist", not booked
HT : 1-0
FT : 1-1
Sounded like they both played ok. Good that they are getting game time. Hull had a headed goal disallowed near the end, due to a foul in the penalty area by another player (according to the commentators).
Think that the live match commentary is going to be a regular feature.

Both 1500 kick offs

Guiseley v Gloucester C. (NLN)
Live match commentary via link on club website
Hull and Gratton both played whole game, didn't score, neither was booked
HULL no "assists"
GRATTON one "assist"
Gloucester scored after 2 minutes. Gratton has been involved in a lot of the action since , and the Gloucester keeper has had to make a couple of smart saves to stop him from scoring. Hull has hardly been mentioned by the commentators.
HT : 0-1
Second half - Gratton covering a lot of ground and getting praise from the commentators, as Guiseley score two goals in quick succession. First one was after a Gratton effort had been blocked.
FT 2-1

Warrington T. v Matlock T. (NPLP)
J.GREAVES subbed 70 mins, didn't score, no" assists", not booked
Greaves has had a couple of decent chances but has not put them away. Matlock have gone ahead though.
HT : 0-1
Second half - Greaves set up a couple of chances for other Matlock players, which were not taken. The Gladiators still won though.
FT : 0-2

More action on Monday at 3pm.

80mins - Guiseley pull one back, 2-1 now.
FT : 2-1

M:atlock T. v Gainsborough T. (NPLP).
J. GREAVES subbed 52 mins, scored two, no "assists", not booked
J. Greaves put Matlock ahead after just 2 minutes! His first goal for the club, with a header from close range.

J. Greaves replaced by O. Greaves - no hat-trick today.

RUFC Official Twitter - Tilt rejoins Wigan Ath. on loan. Leaves us lacking defensive cover though. Wigan's next fixture is on 11th September.

No other ins/outs on RUFC Twitter yet (deadline is only a few minutes away). National League and below can still sign players after EFL deadline.

TILT (Wigan Ath.) - no fixture today

Matlock T. v Belper T. (FA Cup Qual. Rnd. 1)
GREAVES not playing. Maybe was not given permission to play in the FA Cup? Or possibly took a knock last Monday?.
FT 0-3 (Greaves can't be FA "cup tied" now!)

Guiseley v Kidderminster (NLN)
Live commentary link via GAFC website
HULL and GRATTON both start. Tough game in prospect against Kidderminster's full-time professionals
16 mins- Gratton booked (Harshly according to the commentators). Both Gratton and Hull involved in the early action.
35 mins - Gratton has forced a couple of saves from the Kidderminster keeper and has been involved in play a lot. Probably should have scored. The Guiseley assistant manager has been sent off from the bench! Good spell from Guiseley, but no goal.
HT :0-0
52 mins Kidderminster have had a player sent off. Gratton still getting a lot of possession.
87 mins - another Gratton shot goes narrowly wide.
FT : 0-0
HULL and GRATTON played whole game. GRATTON was booked.

Gratton was voted "Man of the Match" on the Guiseley Fans Forum.

Warney has told the Advertiser that we have enough strength and depth in central defence to let Tilt go on loan. That seems like a very optimistic assessment! Maybe there are financial/fitness/personal reasons involved that have not been made public? Doesn't make sense to play Harding out of position if we don't actually need to.

Will Gratton and Hull be recalled for our EFL Trophy game tomorrow?

Yes. We probably haven't really been told the full story behind all this. We need replacements in central defence, despite what Warney has said regarding cover.
More "Loan Squad" action likely on Tuesday...
