None of them scored

TILT (Wigan Ath., L1) played whole game, booked , D0-0
KAYODE (Carlisle U., L2) subbed 83 mins , L0-1
PROCTOR (Newport Co., L2) subbed 65 mins, D1-1
COOPER (Gateshead, NLN) played whole game, W1-0

Additional information - Tilt has got a week to work on his fitness as Wigan are already out of the FA Cup and don't play again until L1 fixture next Tuesday.

Proctor and Cooper in starting line-ups today.

PROCTOR (Newport Co., FA Cup Rnd 2) subbed 72 mins, scored one, W3-0
COOPER (Gateshead, NLN) played whole game, booked, didn't score, W2-1

Kayode likely to be playing in the Carlisle v Donny FA Cup Rnd 2 game tomorrow (Sun), 1330 kick off and live on BBC iPlayer

KAYODE in starting line-up for Carlisle U. in their FA Cup Rnd 2 tie this afternoon.

Update 1 : Kayode playing at centre-forward today. Score 0-0 after 15 mins. The stadium hasn't changed much since I was standing on the terrace when Rod Fern scored the goal that got us promoted ... and there were hundereds of Millers fans still still queuing outside, trying to get in!

Update 2 : Long throw from Kayode almost leads to a Carlisle goal

Update 3 : Donny take the lead through Whiteman, slightly against the run of play. Kayode playing ok, but not getting much supply.

Update 4 : Whiteman scores a second for Donny, then Kayode booked for "diving" , although he didn't appeal for a penalty. Sims looking good for Donny - a bit Denis Wise style - not very big, good engine, decent ball control, gets stuck in, but (unlike many Millers players) avoids injury too.
Just checked - he is on loan from Southampton.
HT 0-2

Update 5 : A half chance for Carlisle, but it's mainly "hit and hope", and Donny still look more purposeful in possession

Update 6 : 78 mins - After a lot of possession, with few clear chances, Mellish pulls one back for Carlisle , hitting home from a corner.

Update 7 : FT 1-2 . Even after Mellish's goal, Carlisle were unable to put much pressure on the Donny defence. Kayode played the full game, and took a lot of long throws, but there was little supply to him on the ground or in the air near goal , so he never got a decent chance to score.

No problems with BBC iPlayer this time(y)

More "loan squadder" action likely on Tuesday / Wednesday

Jake Cooper not in action tonight - Darlington v Gateshead game has been postponed due to a Darlo player testing positive for coronavirus.
Joshua Kayode could be playing for Carlisle tonight, and they have been allowed to have 2000 fans in Brunton Park

Carlisle! I was there..... One turnstile open, queuing up, hundreds outside & after travelling all that way missed Rod’s goal ! Stopped off in Blackpool on way back, everyone partying til after midnight except me! Driving!!
Watched Kayode against Donny & didn’t seem interested. Carlisle fans only gave him 3 oughta 10 as well. He’s only a young un but needs to get that Vardy killer instinct, to want it & nobody to get in his way to score! Will not benefit coming back here in January. Be nice off the pitch son & take no prisoners on the pitch, it’s a learning curve.
 
At least he's getting game time Merry which I doubt he'd have been getting here - although, with our injuries maybe he might have had a spell.

Update 1 - Kayode assist for Alessandra to put Carlisle one-up

Update 2 - HT 1-0

Update 3 - About an hour played. Bennett made it 2-0. Kayode has been booked

Update 4 - FT Carlisle U. 2 Salford C. 1. Kayode played the whole game. Carlisle move up to fifth in League 2.

Additional information - if Gateshead hadn't conceded a goal in injury time, it would have been a clean sweep for the "loan squad" today

Jake Cooper's Gateshead play Spennymoor today (Monday), 3 p.m. kick off. There is a free download "Heed Lines" match programme on Gateshead FC Official Twitter.

Update - Cooper not in the match squad. Reason unknown, some of the Heed fans are puzzled too. Wonder if he has returned to the NYS?

Not sure if he is eligible though... Hull and Greaves probably are. I hope that somebody at RUFC is remembering to check the rules!
