Good to see Kayode back , even if only for a few minutes play.

Mickel Miller scheduled to play tonight. Rest of "Loan Squad" have fixtures tomorrow.

Update - Miller still out injured for Northampton Town (They lost 1-3).
His loan record at Northampton so far- played 9 times, including as sub (though didn't last long in a couple of games in which he started), missed 12 games due to injuries, no goals, two "assists". His last appeaeance for the Cobblers was on 23/02/21.
He's done better than Billy Jones though - just three appearances for Crewe.

All of the "Loan Squad" players have games scheduled for today. All 3pm k.o., except Hartlepool U. at 5.20pm

Jones is still out injured for Crewe A. (They won 1-0)
Cooper not selected for Hartlepool U. (They won 3-1)

Tilt , Miller and Kayode start. Proctor and Vassell are on the bench.

Updates...
All played full game unless stated. No goalscorers, and only "assist" was from Kayode. No bookings.

TILT (Wigan Ath., L1) L1-3
PROCTOR (Wigan Ath.,, L1) sub on 84mins, L1-3
VASSELL (Fleetwood T., L1) sub on 87 mins, D1-1
MILLER (Northampton T., L1) subbed 74 mins, L0-3
KAYODE (Carlisle U. L2) one "assist" , W3-2

Carlisle U. can no longer qualify for the L2 play-offs. Like us, their season was badly interrupted by Covid. One more game and we can bring Kayode back, and get him geared up for next season at the NYS... I hope.

Wigan Ath. have avoided relegation with a game to go and Tilt has been a key player for them in achieving that. We had the chance to bring him back to the NYS for the second half of the season, but didn't! Might have made a big difference, given all our defensive injuries and suspensions. :(

Miller's loan at Northampton T. has not gone well. He has been out injured for quite a lot of games and they have been relegated with a game to go. He hasn't scored any goals, think he has had two "assists" He must still have got another year on his RUFC contract left , but can't see him having much impact at the NYS next season. Free transfer or another loan out likely now?:(

Hartlepool U. may want to keep hold of Cooper for a bit longer as cover for injuries and suspensions because they have still got five "normal" league games left to play, and could then be in the play-offs! They play again on Monday, when there is a full set of NL afternoon fixtures.

All of the "Loan Squad" have games scheduled for this weekend. Last games of the season for them , except possibly Cooper, as NL fixtures continue for a while longer.

Today's games...

KAYODE (Carlisle U., L2) played whole game, not booked, D0-0

More "Loan Squad" action tomorrow

Last League 1 "Loan Squad" day of the season . All 12 noon k.o.

Jones still out injured for Crewe A. (They won 3-2)

Tilt , Vassell and Miller all start. Proctor on subs bench

Update
No "assists". Only Tilt scored.

TILT (Wigan Ath., L1) scored one, sent off 66 mins, L3-4
PROCTOR (Wigan Ath., L1) not booked, sub on 79 mins, L3-4
MILLER (Northampton T., L1) booked, subbed 76 mins, D1-1
VASSELL (Fleetwood T., L1) not booked, subbed 45 mins, L1-3

Wigan were leading 3-2 when Tilt got sent off, and they ended up losing. Sounds rather familiar...

So Tilt will now be suspended at the start of next season. Our defensive problems just go and on...:(

Goodbye, and good luck to Proctor, Vassell and Jones for next season ... except when playing against us! :p

Football League fixtures are now finished., except fot the play-offs, but none of the "Loan Squad" are involved in those games. National League fixtures continue- Hartlepool U. play again next Saturday.

National League :Aldershot T. v Hartlepool U.
COOPER not selected for the match squad today.
HT : 0-0
FT : 1-3
Hartlepool play again on Sunday 23rd May. They can't get automatic promotion now, so will be in the play-offs after their next two league games. If they decide to rest some players, Cooper may get a chance to play.

Good news that Tilt's red card was rescinded.

National League : Sutton U. v Hartlepool U. (1245 k.o.)
If Sutton win, they will be promoted to the Football League.
Jake Cooper not selected for Hartlepool.

Sutton won 3-0. Rob Milsom, the ex-Millers player, scored their first goal. They will start their first season in the Football League in a few months time. Looks like Milsom was playing at left-back.

Hartlepool U. 's final league game is next Saturday, then they are in the Play-offs.

Additional - By a strange coincidence another ex-Miller, from the same era. Michael Tidser, scored the winner for Kielty Hearts which today got them promoted to the Scottish League for the first time

FT 4-0 . Hartlepool finish in 4th place and go into the NL Play-Offs. Their next opponents are Bromley.

Additional - Chesterfield also made the Play-Offs. Just missing out again were Wrexham, who will be starting their 14TH (!) season at NL Level , in the next session.

I can't work these play-offs out. I know Notts County and Chesterfield played at Meadow Lane when County won 3-2 but I can't see a return fixture in the fixtures list at the Technique Stadium.

There isn't one - Chesterfield have been eliminated from the NL play-offs now . Notts County had home advantage because they finished higher in the league. Same applied to Hartlepool U. v Bromley. It's a different version to the Football League's system.
