Millers injury news...

27/07/21

Post-Newcastle friendly match interview on Radio Sheffield- Warney said that he is expecting Mattock to be fit for the first match of the season! o_O
Not sure if anybody else is...but let's hope that he is right. (Plan is to have him back in training on Monday)

He didn't mention the other "missing" players, other than to say that we are short on numbers at the moment.

My comments -Could be Covid isolation issues? (He didn't say that anybody else was actually injured) .Who knows?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update from Paul Davis (Advertiser) Twitter -Shane Ferguson has "quad fatigue", but he will be back in training tomorrow (Thurs). Nothing about Cooper or Vickers.

So that's Tilt, A.MacDonald, Mattock, Vickers are all still out. Probably Ferguson too. No news on Cooper. No other new signings since Newcastle match.

Ihiekwe didn't play last night v M'boro' due to injury. Johansson and Lindsay were injured during the match and had to be substituted.

Update - Ihiekwe likely to be out for several weeks. Johannson to have a scan on Monday, Lindsay injury may not be as bad as first thought.

Warney on RUFC Official site - Tilt, MacDonald and Vickers are definitely out for our first League game of 2021/22 season. Johansson has been ok in training, so should be able to play. Ihiekwe decision will be made later - he may be fit enough. (Didn't mention Mattock or Lindsay)

Warney has just been interviewed on Radio Sheffield. Not great news on Tilt and MacDonald. Tilt is still only doing light training, not playing in practice games yet. MacDonald is not even at that stage . Still looking to bring in a loan. He didn't mention Vickers or any other injuries .

Paul Davis (Advertiser) Twitter- Freddie Ladapo was ill on Friday, so did not start in the Wigan game. We are short of forwards, so let's hope that he makes a quick recovery. He has been tested and he has not got Covid.

He was taken to hospital as it seems he's had an allergy to his medication - but still could be back for the weekend. If it's penicillin he's had a reaction too my lad had the same and was at least five days getting it out of his system.
