Another early goal (1 min!) from the young Millers. Ciaran McGuckin continued his great goalscoring run. He is already a Northern Ireland Youth international player, and is being tipped for possible inclusion in the next N.I. U-19 squad. Will he feature in the Millers EFL Trophy games?

Let's hope so - and let's hope we manage to keep him. If we get stuck he might have to put him in this season.

RUFC Official site report on game from the weekend:
Scunthorpe U. Academy 2 Millers Academy 4
All the Millers lads' goals in the second half this time. Goalscorers - McGuckin 2, Exton and Holvey.
McGuckin came back from international duty quickly and carried on from where he had left off!

The Millers took an early lead through Exton, but the Mariners came back strongly to win the game. First Millers Academy defeat of the season

The Millers Academy had lost 1-5 at Lincoln City Academy a few days earlier (Scorer - Clark)

Update 1 - Drawn away to Bashford U. or Doncaster R. in FA Youth Cup Round 2.
Update 2 - RUFC Official website now saying opponents will be Doncaster R. Academy.
Update 3 -Radio Sheffield just announced that the game will be played at the Keepmoat, open to the public, on Tuesday night (16th November), 7pm k.o.
