Middlesbrough v Swansea Sat 6 April 15:00
Next up it’s another tough one, the long road to Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, second furthest club from Swansea, a 654 mile round trip (Sunderland being the furthest at a 690 mile round trip).
Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium backs onto the River Tees, with Stockton-on-Tees and Middlesbrough ports on its banks.
Middlesbrough are in good form and we will do well to get anything from this one.
They are 9th in the table, six points short of the play-offs, but with their recent good form they are hoping to make a late charge up the table.
Last 6 home:
Boro W2 D2 L2 F7 A6
Last 6 away:
Swans W2 D2 L2 F6 A7
A different picture when you look at the last 6, all matches
Boro W4 D2 L0 F9 A2
Swans W2 D2 L2 F6 A5
Swansea meanwhile are in indifferent form again. They were unable to break down a resolute and more determined QPR team who were below them in the table and conceded yet another soft goal from a set piece for their ninth home defeat of the season.
I think most fans will be glad when this season is over, our worst performance in the Championship since relegation from the PL.
We need a big clear out and regroup in the summer. In the meantime we need a few more points to be sure of safety, so no time to relax.
