By the same criteria, I've endured Telford, Chester(Todd Jordan's less than finest hour), Macclesfield, Southport, Nantwich and several others.

Does that win? That's sort of the problem, isn't it Bolton here I come.

I was there that night ,lee angols debut hatrick ,we had a decent following that night ,,think the smallest away following I've been to for a first team game was forfar pre season, probably about 15 imps at the most
 
Liam Scully has said on a couple of occasions that the club have held some sort of data on ticket sales, for at least a few seasons. I buy away tickets for a group of four of us, including one who lives in Leeds and one who lives in Denmark!
During this time, I nearly always buy the tickets once they've gone on general sale, quite often not even allocating them to members of my group. The reason for this is that it gives an extra couple of days to see if Mr Leeds and Mr Denmark are able to make it. Obviously if it's a game with limited availability I jump in early. Anybody else in this boat?

As for ongoing sales, I can't see lack of availability becoming a massive problem. Changes to the kick off times/dates and the fact that we will almost certainly be in the lower reaches of the table, will see to that. If we do fair to middlin' and manage to establish ourselves in the Championship, then I think there will be no alternative to having some kind of loyalty scheme. To be honest, we have come so far, so relatively quickly, that the whole thing is a bit mad. In the end, I will support the club to make the fairest decision that it can. Onwards and upwards.
 
Gold silver and bronze membership is the loyalty system.
Seems the problem is, some gold members wanting a better chance than other gold members.
Not a fan of the closed shop.

I would argue that isn't fair, aka having your cake and eating it. Bottom line is, whatever system a club comes up with there is a high chance there will be a set of circumstances which amount to unfairness baked in.

For the aforementioned reasons I pretty much roll with the free for all and take the rough with the smooth. However raising my observations earlier in the thread, I am more disappointed that when I log on during times of heavy activity I would like to know are there any tickets left, am I in a queue, if so what number and the rough waiting time. If I have that, at least I a) know where I stand and b) can make an informed choice about what I do next.

Great example of the fail in the points system
 
If selling out away becomes the norm, maybe an away season ticket?

This would also work for exiles who go to more away games in their area. And don’t go to many home games.

Those who go to every match… would have home and away season tickets, and no need to be on here complaining about a lack of a points system

Still a bit miffed I missed Forfar as staying in Callendar that night but it was the better half’s summer holiday too!

Smallest away following I’ve been in was 9 of us at Portadown, pre-season 2003.

How do you judge this sort of thing?

I mean, I could argue I literally sacrificed my future by putting my earnings from this website into keeping the club going. Does that entitle me to tickets? No. Just a thought, though.

Spot on…

Everyone’s version of fair will be skewed to their own experience and aspirations.

I’m glad that the club managed to find you a ticket on the waiting list. I’m on it for two, with little expectation….but as my grandad used to say….”worse things have happened at sea”.

This season is going to be a huge learning curve from the top down. The worst the club could possibly do is rush in some sort of loyalty scheme. Careful thought and consideration of all corners of the fan base is required.

The 27k plus at Wembley for the Checkatrade were not glory hunters. It reflected local (Lincoln) interest in and a significant diaspora (aka Exiles).

Think the forfar game didn't get arranged til late in the pre season,we'd just come back from the world cup in France,then upto forfar and then down to Bournemouth for the weekend 1st game and Bradford on the Tuesday,,fair bit of travelling,but loved it
 
I see Boro have classified the Lincoln game as a Category A (i.e. the highest price category) - seems they expect demand to be high.

EFL away tickets is either 10% or 2,000 tickets. Lots of Championship clubs going with the minimum.

6,000 logged in for Middlesbrough game on the first day.

No fair way of doing loyalty schemes, been involved in them before but have to be open minded to review and take feedback.

I’m going to hazard a guess 6,000 is partly down to people trying on different devices.
Plenty of people buying for more than one person and not every Gold Member would be able to or want to go so seems unlikely 6,000 different Gold members logging on.
