Michael Skubala Rumour

I’d say that definitely has legs given they had Ian Foster in charge who was involved in the England set up, like Skubala was.

Would he go to Plymouth, my guess would be not. Would he go to other more local, established Championship club this summer if it came up, possibly.

You would think they would avoid another untried manager at that level after the last one almost got them relegated.

Heard rumour yesterday, from good mate who is a big Plymouth supporter, that Scubala was being interviewed today (Sunday). He is not ITK but reckoned they were serious. Told him Exeter stood a better chance. Still, slightly concerned though.

Late last week was supposedly in the running at Huddersfield. Not seen him linked to Hull. Got the impression he was settled in a Leicestershire home (Leeds/Loughborough/Lincoln all commutable) so Plymouth a bit of a commute. Wouldn't be surprised if (should there be any legs in this) to have spoken to Foster as suspect they know each other from England days and probably put off. Could he be our biggest transfer ever tho? Compensation would need to be hefty.

You would think when the time comes, now or in the future, MS would have to get LCFC permission to speak to a prospective Club. Cannot see that happening after just 6 months ! He is bound to attract interest at this time of the 'sacking' year having had a good start to his time at SB, and why should he even thinking of moving from such a well run Club just when he is getting the playing side sorted out. Think this is a load of ***p.
UTI.

plymouth have just tried and quickly discarded foster. why would they risk going straight in for someone similar?
Totally agree , Foster was very unpopular.

Any young manager on the rise wants to be very careful taking a championship job. The Cowleys have never recovered, will Foster?

Incredibly cut throat, do well to last 6 months at most clubs.

Would expect Rosenoir to be the obvious choice. Did a very decent job at Hull and has links with the Devon area
Would imagine Skoobs will be linked with every job going at the moment so it’s something we’ll have to get used to.

I don't know he'll be in that level of demand to be honest. He's had less than a full season and although he's done well he's taken a club from mid table (albeit in bad form) to not quite in the playoffs. He'd still be regarded as a big gamble by a Championship club imo.

And he'll know it's not enough to give him any credit in the bank if it doesn't go well. Move now and start badly and he'll be out and it'll be incredibly hard to get another job at that level.
