memory stick

I've bought one of these sticks,(not going to say the proper name in case JF says I should not have named it) I bought it off ebay for £54. I have all sky sport channels, All BT sport channels, BBC iplayer, loads of films and other stuff. It came yesterday, it took me a few hours to get the hang of it, in fact I'm still finding things on it. It works on wi-fi, one of the best thing I've bought for a long time.

Meh, you can name it if you want. But thanks for the caution posting wise.

Right here goes. It's a Amazon fire stick with Kodi installed on it I dont know what Kodi is, all I know is that I get free sport channels. If you buy it of Amazon it does not have the sport on it, that's why I bought it off ebay.

Can i buy one of these and use it on a Smart TV and get Sports channels for free??

You can buy the stick for £35 and install kodi yourself for free. It's not too had, and there are plenty of tutorials out there. I have it, and it does work well, including all the Sports channels.

I'm showing my age here.
If I were to buy one of these, do I get all the content mentioned for nothing??

In short, yes, but you might need some technical skills. Many of the Add Ons installed will be rubbish, some unreliable, and some OK for a while. It may come to a point where you have to install a new one, and at that point you may need someone who knows what they are doing.

Perhaps LRS was right, and this really isn't a subject for an open Forum? I'm not sure Sky would want it publicised like this.

So not, in fact, a memory stick but in fact an android tv dongle or mini pc

Well I'm in desperate need of something here in Indonesia that is reliable and not too pricey. I wondering would it work here?

OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH, where did that pirate icon come from? Never noticed it before

Never heard of it. I must be getting old, I'm not down with the kids any more.

I may have a look at this though. I was thinking about changing my broadband just to get BT Sport.

I had Sky Sports for years, but they kept on hiking up the price. It just got too much in the end, and when I cancelled there was also an element of protest. I would be prepared to pay a reasonable amount, but instead am happy to do without, or pirate it on the very few occasions I really want to watch something.

If enough of us do this, then they will have to change. Eventually, this will lead to less TV money for Clubs, which I do think is the worst thing ever to happen to football. Perhaps we could get a more level playing field back?

I was wondering about that. Does the Iplayers work because he has a UK IP address?

Sky Sports should work anywhere, right?

Most of the stuff should work where you are, as they don't use official channels. The BBC iplayer add on may block you, as it is based on the real one, but many others that include these channels should be ok.

Of course, it does all depend on a reasonable wifi connection.
