Be honest. The football ground you go to most often, the stand you sit in: do you know who designed it? The name of the architects?
Don’t worry if you haven’t a clue. You’re not alone. You go for the football, for your team, for t

Nice post kefkat.

I am aware of Letich, and I was aware of his hand in the iconic Trinity Road stand - the structure which first beguiled me, engulfed me and condemned me to a lifetime of misery!

Heartbreaking when it went, but at least the Holte End preserved some of the memory of the famous old stand.

Damn you Archibald Leitch and your unparalleled talents for stadium design. If it weren't for you, I could have ended up with my Dad's team - Wolverhampton Wanderers! :10: :10: :10:

Thank McGrath I was! I remember being in Birmingham with Dad (circa 1983/4) and he drove us up to Villa Park, parking up on Trinity Road when you could drive along it on match days.

Villa were playing Wolves and we listened to some of the game on BRMB (I think) - Villa won 4-0 and we heard the roar for a couple of the goals. I was in love :183:

Happy times.

And incidentally, thanks for original post and reintroducing me to 442! I'd forgotten all about that site, and have spent an enjoyable morning going all geeky and loving the 100 Best Stadiums feature....looking forward to the next installment from them :44:
