McWilliams goes to Cheltenham

Whether we actually thought it or not, this shines a light (again) on just how poor our squad was last season.

With McWilliams dropping into L2, he joins Raggett and Powell also in L2. Hugill, Ayres, McGuckin and Holmes have gone into non league. Zak Jules and Dru Yearwood have gone to play in the backwaters of Europe. Duncan Watmore has retired and Liam Kelly has taken a coaching role.

Some of these players were an integral part of the squad. Is it any wonder we were relegated?
 
Ayres is still fairly young and may improve, with some decent coaching -the rest of them won't! It was mainly a poor , injury-prone squad. Glad to see the back of most of them. I doubt that we will be seeing any of them coming back to do the 50-50 raffle draw in the future! The trouble is we have brought nobody in of any significance to replace them.
