Manchester City Women's Football Club
Over the last 25 or so years Women's professional football has come on leaps and bounds, none more so than Manchester City Women's Football Club.
The last couple of years has seen the club reach new and dizzy heights, especially during last season's campaign when the girls won the WSL Continental Cup. And then low and behold and for the first time ever they were crowned winners of the Women's Super League. To sum up their achievements in one word I would have to say, 'AMAZING'.
Since the team returned from the close season the ladies have progressed to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, following yesterday's 2-1 victory, away at Bristol City. However, their best achievement (in my opinion) so far in 2017 was last weeks 1-0 away win against Danish champions Fortuna Hjørring in the quarter-final first leg tie in the UEFA Women's Champions League. It's the ladies débutante season and so to bring a slender lead into the second leg, which is due to take place at the Academy Stadium on Thursday 30 March is pretty incredible.

The women have drawn Liverpool at home, I think.
The other tie is Chelsea at Birmingham City.
